Last minute card request from my Other Half!

Morning All,

Ppfft!  We are certainly back down to earth with a bump as far as the weather is concerned aren't we?  I do not mind the drop in temperature one bit (except of course for the heating bill) but this miserable 36 hrs+ of rain can take a hike.....had enough of it for a few days now, lol!

Anyway, I have something to share today somewhat sooner than I thought I would as yesterday Hubby asked me if I could make a card for him to give to the physiotherapy team at the breathing clinic he's been attending for the past 6 weeks. Of course, he leaves it till the last minute to ask me as tomorrow is his last session, lol!

I have become a Pinterest addict and I pinned this lovely card to my CAS board from HERE which gave me the inspiration for my card below.  Gayatri Murali has a lot of style!

This card was a pleasure to create but deceptively tricky to get the positioning of the cut out and the stamped image balanced but I think that's true of 'clean and simple' style cards in general and because of their CAS style there is no hiding place for stamping errors, etc., lol!  I think it's fairly obvious how it was made but if you have any questions please ask away.  The lovely dandelion seeded head image is an IndigoBlu stamp and I used Archival Aquamarine to stamp it.  I can't tell you whose the embossing folder is because there is no name on it and I keep very little in the packaging ...... not enough space in my craftroom as it is without packaging, lol!

Wow, that's short and sweet from me today after my long post last time ;-).  Thank you for all the lovely comments on my box, I really appreciate every one.  Off to get some less enjoyable tasks done now before a visit to check on Mum.  See you again soon.

Hugs
Lesley  Xx

So simple, but very elegant Lesley. There is some stunning work out there on Pinterest, I could spend more time looking than making though.

Well done Lesley, it's beautiful. I too collect ideas on Pinterest, just done my own versions of a couple of Christmas cards. Am sure that they will love it! Xx

You are right CAS isn't necessarily that when it comes to actually making them - as you say nowhere to hide any little errors. This is beautifully done and the positioning looks just right - all at the last minute too, clever stuff.

Sorry - forgot to say I think the EF is a Cuttlebug one. I don't keep my packaging either due to space problems (or an over abundance of 'stuff') LOL!!

Fantastic card, Lesley! I so admire those people who have the gift for CAS! As you say, there's no hiding place for dodgy stamping or positioning! It really takes an experienced crafter to conjure up a lovely card like this! Beautiful and deceptively simple!!! xxx

Fantastic card Lesley. Perfect positioning. I can understand it was a challenge getting the design just perfect, but you have done it! I love the dandelion puff design, so perfect for the purpose for the respiratory team. I am sure that will be really appreciated. Elaine xxx

beautifully elegant and I love it! These CAS cards are not as simple as they look, are they! Know what you mean about the rain - no playtimes for two days now. Think of me stuck inside with 28 lively 5 year olds!

Absolutely gorgeous, Lesley, and perfectly proportioned. I love the blue and white together, so fresh and elegant.

CAS cards are the best and i love what you have created from your Pinterest inspiration. They are never easy, you need a very clean area to create them in and most of the time my area is far from that lol.

The team will really appreciate your wonderful card and your Husbands gesture :-) xxx
