Despite all my good intentions at the beginning of the year, I have been a dreadful blogger for the past few months. It's not that I haven't made a few things I've just not got round to sharing them in Blogland although I have shared them on Facebook and Instagram. I do like to have them on here as a record for myself though so I'm going to try and catch up a little over the next few posts.
Today I have a few fairly recent birthday cards to share.
This first card was for my Hubby's recent 70th birthday. I used stamps by Scrapcosy for PaperArtsy. I really love this nautical set and this is a different take on the stamps to the card in my last post.
The strips were cut from an old background piece I made and I have no idea what inks I used, lol! The stamping and blending around the edges is Distress Oxides and I did a little splattering of water to remove some of the ink on the blending. The compass was a chipboard piece I found in my stash and I covered it with two shades of Seth Apter's Baked Texture embossing powders.
This second card was for one of my brothers. Again I cut strips of cards from a really old background I created. I think this might have been done with the old Moonglow Inks I bought from The Stampman when I first started crafting .
The 'starry' looking lazer cut piece is
by Scrapiniec and I dabbed it with two different coloured inks then
Versamark and heat embossed with clear ep.
My final card for today was for my Son-in-Law. I stamped the vintage car which is from a favourite Chocolate Baroque set called Eccentric Edwardian (I think). It's one of the first sets I ever bought from them back in the days when they went under the Elusive Images banner and I find it a mega useful set for mens cards. Anyway, I stamped and clear embossed the car and stamped again onto masking paper. I masked the car then added the stencilling using oxide Ink.
I also used the Oxide Ink to add a little colour to the car as well as a bit of shadowing near the wheels. A few strips of Tim Holtz tissue tape and stamped sentiments and that was it.
So that's it for today and hopefully I can catch up with another multiple post in a day or two.
