<br />
I've had lots of treats of new stash over the past 4+ months and barely scratched the surface of using them but I'm trying hard, lol. Today my post is a catch up of the none Christmas makes I've managed recently.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim2Xc0OImQxtVjwx4yFofE2HvwVBRaETknWrFXDZfcbJoTCMf3JyWe001buK_M9IZYUVzoJdHpsZnrCQBbFjXIiwgGLKfLGGNfFRsbSOQYvvtwRIZGe4DsW2PvMTuAQRP38Bv1_RPxxi2p/s1600/New+stamp+playtime+tag+-+AALL%2526Create+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="680" data-original-width="750" height="290" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim2Xc0OImQxtVjwx4yFofE2HvwVBRaETknWrFXDZfcbJoTCMf3JyWe001buK_M9IZYUVzoJdHpsZnrCQBbFjXIiwgGLKfLGGNfFRsbSOQYvvtwRIZGe4DsW2PvMTuAQRP38Bv1_RPxxi2p/s320/New+stamp+playtime+tag+-+AALL%2526Create+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My first piece is a tag (obviously, lol) created using one of the fab AALL & Create stamps by Tracy Evans plus one of their stencils. I made this last year and I think I had already done a blended background on the cream tag and had it lying around on my desk. I have absolutely no idea what inks I used for the background, lol! I did some stencilling and background subtle stamping.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4fQ2qBtd6UXbb_7qQqfNz3B3WbNe1zFCQ64Mc9rOeQgjYg1GicYozX9MSh2CPjjke7LVC5BjnbmciqUofREEbM2OAlo7L8ItjaWx-UNnCH_gC2dDjRZHSmZnUrB48Dx9YkR2h2tLXuwNh/s1600/New+stamp+playtime+tag+-+AALL%2526Create+-+3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4fQ2qBtd6UXbb_7qQqfNz3B3WbNe1zFCQ64Mc9rOeQgjYg1GicYozX9MSh2CPjjke7LVC5BjnbmciqUofREEbM2OAlo7L8ItjaWx-UNnCH_gC2dDjRZHSmZnUrB48Dx9YkR2h2tLXuwNh/s320/New+stamp+playtime+tag+-+AALL%2526Create+-+3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the flower onto the tag and also separate card then coloured it. I think I used Amsterdam Inks and then added the white doodling, cut it out and added it to the tag. Finally added extra word stamping, doodled round the edge with a black fine liner pen and added the word sticker.</div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLryDsIF_8nc3MjtrI8OoJQIAvyvjhgaEuK2V1U5SKTtA5FeJIR73Op-jKNTG3fNEYSTybTfdjYXc4Bz1jdO2K-OCUCZHvduSq3RJADGDTUw_AtMWm9WW_EqlJqX55mV0HPSzmJPF2mEYe/s1600/New+stamps+playtime+card+-+AALL%2526Create+-+2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="727" data-original-width="750" height="309" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLryDsIF_8nc3MjtrI8OoJQIAvyvjhgaEuK2V1U5SKTtA5FeJIR73Op-jKNTG3fNEYSTybTfdjYXc4Bz1jdO2K-OCUCZHvduSq3RJADGDTUw_AtMWm9WW_EqlJqX55mV0HPSzmJPF2mEYe/s320/New+stamps+playtime+card+-+AALL%2526Create+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created this card about the same time as the above tag, just trying out the gorgeous new stamp. It's a large A4 stamp so you have to practice a bit to get to know how best you can stamp with it. I'm usually pretty good but this time I moved the card and smudged the image a bit but I didn't want to waste it so went with the flow, lol. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimzfNVDiKBJ4d6Cc9TdK2fIxUDCug8Gp5MP9da-p9zu3nwrfM7b_5oG2swYo27OU_bw58Eou0tfm_2qS6zfVyyzabk6Bm7PBHjxDnbpVcyrT3sAn-WqZb2qtNHJ-JpE7toHOGMbHzqrUSp/s1600/New+stamps+playtime+card+-+AALL%2526Create+-+3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimzfNVDiKBJ4d6Cc9TdK2fIxUDCug8Gp5MP9da-p9zu3nwrfM7b_5oG2swYo27OU_bw58Eou0tfm_2qS6zfVyyzabk6Bm7PBHjxDnbpVcyrT3sAn-WqZb2qtNHJ-JpE7toHOGMbHzqrUSp/s320/New+stamps+playtime+card+-+AALL%2526Create+-+3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think I must have used mica powders to blend over the background then I stamped the butterfly onto separate card and coloured it and the flower with metallic watercolour paints. I added some thread before sticking them to the card then stamped and cut out the words. Matting and layering to the card base and finito! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Back in November I went to the Knit and Stitch show in Harrogate and I
bought a set of Brusho SprinkleIt powders but it took me till after
Christmas to try them out. I'm not sure they are worth it yet and if
you are a lover of 'in your face' bling I would say these are not for
you but I only like subtle when it comes to glitter and sparkle so I
think with more play time to get to know them better I might get to
enjoy these. I used one of my try out backgrounds for the card below.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh90JIGI3xpAU21Qcnx-G9TYvRRGjNW5xOFPWzy513z-RWDIVYNlxiLzI2qitNh-D5SPulSCl2liku0Txg3UJvZvjRVT6HxKuAtE4D6FV99t5k8KwUcWquI4ex1EFuEeF0meULNgmQkEjWr/s1600/AALL%2526CREATE+meets+Brusho+1+-+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="656" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh90JIGI3xpAU21Qcnx-G9TYvRRGjNW5xOFPWzy513z-RWDIVYNlxiLzI2qitNh-D5SPulSCl2liku0Txg3UJvZvjRVT6HxKuAtE4D6FV99t5k8KwUcWquI4ex1EFuEeF0meULNgmQkEjWr/s320/AALL%2526CREATE+meets+Brusho+1+-+1.JPG" width="262" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This background is created with normal Brusho crystals very sparingly sprinkled onto damp card then spritzed. I dried between each colour application and finally added some of the pearl SprinkleIt to the last layer. I stamped a chosen area from a gorgeous new A4 AALL & Create stamp and then added some white texture paste through two different AALL & Create stencils but forgot that with Brushos being water reactive the paste soaked up colour from the background. To make the texture more visible again I used Treasure Gold to highlight, copper on the circles on the left and a ruby colour on the textured areas on the right. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTE6HpNEShf8weGiloGJVqS1yewlfLdQziiuYGPeiM1nmwLDwAFnzunJV1G-yNqVbqCudiZ803bJ-pICPsK0v5AOGO-YtMzL9WvrP3Mz_ocvWRMXrDpzFKJVuOH5j7YuqVkrs5mWT0RXv3/s1600/AALL%2526CREATE+meets+Brusho+1+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTE6HpNEShf8weGiloGJVqS1yewlfLdQziiuYGPeiM1nmwLDwAFnzunJV1G-yNqVbqCudiZ803bJ-pICPsK0v5AOGO-YtMzL9WvrP3Mz_ocvWRMXrDpzFKJVuOH5j7YuqVkrs5mWT0RXv3/s320/AALL%2526CREATE+meets+Brusho+1+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a tiny bit of colour to areas of the butterfly and some white doodling and a few white paint splatters then did a bit of tinting to one of Tim Holtz Paper Dolls before adding her to the piece. A bit of graphite pencil to create shadowing around her made her stand out a bit more and lastly I stamped the words to cut out and add. I edged the piece with black and matted and layered onto the card base. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5tWElHHbp_hd0-YpYYKX-j5DBhhKK17J2QAQ-RpeGBPnNwq4RKMYaSn6IjUSQShEtVDmBDeRZ8SMHMfbP8_-sQRNQl8tz-N22cm2snhZmGxr0fxMSUit-lxDNLIf2ti5vC3FjoLrXj4OM/s1600/Chocolate+Baroque+meets+Brusho+1+-+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="623" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5tWElHHbp_hd0-YpYYKX-j5DBhhKK17J2QAQ-RpeGBPnNwq4RKMYaSn6IjUSQShEtVDmBDeRZ8SMHMfbP8_-sQRNQl8tz-N22cm2snhZmGxr0fxMSUit-lxDNLIf2ti5vC3FjoLrXj4OM/s320/Chocolate+Baroque+meets+Brusho+1+-+1.JPG" width="249" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My final share today is using a new stamp from Chocolate Baroque. I think it's quite stunning. I used another of my Brusho and SprinkleIt test backgrounds and this one has one of the very subtle glitter powders on it. If you click to enlarge you might be able to see it.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGxpDIG05fWPsK8jB7dZUyOQdyKN7pypLYLMNbNaEsT-nDgfRDw2qvFI_pZnw3F1AuFEy-qZrLgLXeE-HoK7ZINarq8svvoL-CEXdF85Hg1yi0S-86DpeNLDAvHq_9lDKgMjHhoH5xDx_P/s1600/Chocolate+Baroque+meets+Brusho+1+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGxpDIG05fWPsK8jB7dZUyOQdyKN7pypLYLMNbNaEsT-nDgfRDw2qvFI_pZnw3F1AuFEy-qZrLgLXeE-HoK7ZINarq8svvoL-CEXdF85Hg1yi0S-86DpeNLDAvHq_9lDKgMjHhoH5xDx_P/s320/Chocolate+Baroque+meets+Brusho+1+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I loved this background as it's not often I can get 'subtle' with Brushos as the colours are so intense. I didn't want to cover it up with too much colouring of the image so I just did some shading with Polychromos pencils in specific areas and was so happy with the result. I also added a light shadowing around the image to give a little dimension then stamped the Chocolate Baroque sentiment and inked with black around the edges. Matting and layering to complete the card.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Right, I think that's me caught up although I could have missed a couple of makes I've forgotten about, lol. I must try harder to be more productive, lol, as I still have a lot of as yet unused new stash to play with. I'm not promising but I'll try to keep up better with blogging, lol!<br />

<br />
These were all created in my favourite 8 x 8 format and were all very different but first I'll share a mixed media tag I made for a swap in a Facebook group I belong to. If you need a bit of inspiration sometimes (I think we all do) and/or enjoy different swaps this is the group to go to. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukstampersforum/">https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukstampersforum/</a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUEcCXE9HQDoVeQrVt6xrdFZOWwispfNR6Zy3J67CUJw6Cdt3-yVZSy7u3kMRNy8zmD7ZNS7JTWjhxvAcLL6jAfmS0NfnUzuz8MU_yApWtpEqH48U5ls_0N9skZDeNa8AmU6-eXXSmU_nq/s1600/Christmas+tag+swap+-+mixed+media+-+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="520" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUEcCXE9HQDoVeQrVt6xrdFZOWwispfNR6Zy3J67CUJw6Cdt3-yVZSy7u3kMRNy8zmD7ZNS7JTWjhxvAcLL6jAfmS0NfnUzuz8MU_yApWtpEqH48U5ls_0N9skZDeNa8AmU6-eXXSmU_nq/s320/Christmas+tag+swap+-+mixed+media+-+1.JPG" width="208" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had cut a large tag from corrugated card and stripped some of the paper off the top before trying out a bit of Finnabair's patina pastes and it had been lying on my desk for weeks so I covered it with gesso and inked the edges black. I stencilled stars using clear texture paste to which I added sparkly embossing powder. Across the bottom I stuck some snips of Angelina fibres and film. I then did some die cutting on the trusty Big Shot (love mine) and assembled lots of embellishments including berries, flowers (to mimic Christmas roses again), a star and lovely lamp post. I used some Seth Apter Baked Texture embossing powder on the lamp post and loved the effect. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigfwzYJ3gSKgw8cRV9LsPSMRf8f4ro2Zbs7svzj47IU-uQIdHTb7MCDBFN5pUaJ60P-cVr5-vz-JLMDyisMmS372wVp5Q1wwQZHAC-q7PWCQc162Be7x-y7wO1SBzO7ji3MBZFSzFa_5jG/s1600/Christmas+tag+swap+-+mixed+media+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="611" data-original-width="750" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigfwzYJ3gSKgw8cRV9LsPSMRf8f4ro2Zbs7svzj47IU-uQIdHTb7MCDBFN5pUaJ60P-cVr5-vz-JLMDyisMmS372wVp5Q1wwQZHAC-q7PWCQc162Be7x-y7wO1SBzO7ji3MBZFSzFa_5jG/s320/Christmas+tag+swap+-+mixed+media+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
A fair bit of sparkle (for me, lol) was added to other bits and bobs like the deer, the star and number 25</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsx1iMeUqzlWpbcy1mKL6H7dXYSggSDricnpzDwxMkPXDmjMwyPOz5HBqmCAmD3EaeTx8yoqGF0ay8pd9r7JdH_JqpXxjh7Nsm-PhWBqS3hfgNj880VgwzrqSKZBjmh8qst1AxPgL0lUVN/s1600/Christmas+tag+swap+-+mixed+media+-+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsx1iMeUqzlWpbcy1mKL6H7dXYSggSDricnpzDwxMkPXDmjMwyPOz5HBqmCAmD3EaeTx8yoqGF0ay8pd9r7JdH_JqpXxjh7Nsm-PhWBqS3hfgNj880VgwzrqSKZBjmh8qst1AxPgL0lUVN/s320/Christmas+tag+swap+-+mixed+media+-+3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then decided to add some metallic watercolour paint around the lamp area.....now why didn't I do this BEFORE I stuck the lamp post down, lol! Finally I stamped the wording, cut it out and edged with black before sticking them to the tag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now for the cards.......</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJfTttUOrXRb3Yzll7O3VCCBkUIXpehH1HGUpwUukDTl6SLkGPxHzhy4H7sELSqpXEquMjS5jlABxHYWsqmvN437NHcPp3SvhyphenhyphenDw0TM-jvFfu1HYIXj6ByCLIbZVDI7e8iros2y4SyvxCU/s1600/Christmas+VIP+card+1+-+mixed+media+-+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="759" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJfTttUOrXRb3Yzll7O3VCCBkUIXpehH1HGUpwUukDTl6SLkGPxHzhy4H7sELSqpXEquMjS5jlABxHYWsqmvN437NHcPp3SvhyphenhyphenDw0TM-jvFfu1HYIXj6ByCLIbZVDI7e8iros2y4SyvxCU/s320/Christmas+VIP+card+1+-+mixed+media+-+1.JPG" width="316" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I was so pleased with the tag above and hubby loved it too so I adapted the design to fit an 8 x 8 card for my lovely Son and Daughter's families. The techniques used were exactly the same as for the tag except I didn't use corrugated card and I added some natural sisal to the arrangement of embellishments at the bottom.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another 8 x 8 card but this time a clean and simple design. I used a beautiful snowflake stamp by IndigoBlue and added guilding flakes before matting onto green card and then onto my card base. </div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the sentiment using a green Distress Oxide ink and clear embossed then matted onto the green card.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
8 x 8 again for this third one but totally different to the other two. I had this gorgeous 12 x 12 sheet of designer paper from a pad I bought years ago. I loved it so much I couldn't bring myself to use it which was daft because it was tuck in a box unseen by anyone. During my clear out last year I rediscovered it and vowed it would get used so I cut one corner into 8 x 8, edged it with gold pen and matted onto co-ordinating card before sticking to the card base. It already had some subtle fine glittering so I didn't add anything else to the paper. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7PjkpTxVTsk0bfza33DcPa-UlN-ARo_6FMp8BOBM0uSU1DOInQ0_DrUhOJ45acXTKgSkjy3RKBjp7WVMMytzmjr5MR5dfSkKkUYPAU0I1Hgylp1cjGC-q2NhwY8k_bpDYzix9VvAoifpB/s1600/Christmas+VIP+card+2+-+mixed+media+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7PjkpTxVTsk0bfza33DcPa-UlN-ARo_6FMp8BOBM0uSU1DOInQ0_DrUhOJ45acXTKgSkjy3RKBjp7WVMMytzmjr5MR5dfSkKkUYPAU0I1Hgylp1cjGC-q2NhwY8k_bpDYzix9VvAoifpB/s320/Christmas+VIP+card+2+-+mixed+media+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I gave two of the Anna Marie birch bark stars touches of gold pen and die cut some stars from another designer paper, edged them with gold pen and adhered them all to the card.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_lgaL9GezQ2OA5s9dWa576VftiRqJJYestbyK1jbSIG2ofAi3si0-bMMHPS5LIg5UOADnakhKazCX33UdBxRZZNVmOyXv9TOr3IeKEMy9W7t8flbTNdezoXQwTA9uC2JHh8KGLeWreUnl/s1600/Christmas+VIP+card+2+-+mixed+media+-+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="586" data-original-width="750" height="250" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_lgaL9GezQ2OA5s9dWa576VftiRqJJYestbyK1jbSIG2ofAi3si0-bMMHPS5LIg5UOADnakhKazCX33UdBxRZZNVmOyXv9TOr3IeKEMy9W7t8flbTNdezoXQwTA9uC2JHh8KGLeWreUnl/s320/Christmas+VIP+card+2+-+mixed+media+-+3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Finally, I stamped the sentiment and words onto scraps of the dp and stuck those to the card and stars. I absolutely loved this card and the vintage look of it when it was finished.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
And the last one (don't cheer, lol)! Another 8 x 8 with the top layer matted onto co-ordinating dark blue card. I centred a circle mask over my card and blended some blue ink in from the edges, slightly more at the top. I then used one of my favourite Chocolate Baroque Christmas stamps which is a complete little scene in one. I stamped with Claire Versafine Twilight and then used some blue ink and a brush to lightly watercolour the image a little. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added highlights with clear Sakura sparkle pen and stamped the CB sentiment. Finally I stamped the pine branch onto separate card and clear embossed before cutting it out and arranging a little cluster of berries, flowers and pearls on fine filament.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It is quite funny that from not having a clue where to start with my cards for last Christmas I ended up making some of my absolute favourites. Hope you liked them too and maybe they'll give you a bit of inspiration if you remember them when you start yours for Christmas 2019.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

My next post will be a part catch up on general cards and stuff but I'll leave those for another day.</div>

<br />
Well, I have gone even longer between posts than last time I think and as a consequence I am sure I have missed taking pics of some of the things I created in the meantime but for my own records (as the old memory is not what it used to be, lol) I'm going to catch up on the ones I have got. It's going to mean a couple of long posts so sorry if you find them too boring to stick with....as I said posts are really for my own benefit now as I've 'retired' from DT work, lol! You can always just enjoy the pics!<br />
<br />
Okay, I'm going to make this post all about the Christmas creations I made for 2018. I found it quite hard to get motivated for Christmas last year (gawd, that sounds so long ago, lol) so to try and get in the mood I recycled an old chunky little canvas and created a piece of home decor.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLGKCc_VTyOhdUnziPA-7FF8v0HWSQKMd_ilv37DjHQGE1xH8Vy82NK5uf658pBN6kzrHCkBKJfD79TR_R5PM_ZrTspTiGra2QoOMp0mAK_viWxtTYfuUfhEPi7LP7fwhSLUx6kllGzNIW/s1600/Christmas+chunky+canvas+-+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="624" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLGKCc_VTyOhdUnziPA-7FF8v0HWSQKMd_ilv37DjHQGE1xH8Vy82NK5uf658pBN6kzrHCkBKJfD79TR_R5PM_ZrTspTiGra2QoOMp0mAK_viWxtTYfuUfhEPi7LP7fwhSLUx6kllGzNIW/s320/Christmas+chunky+canvas+-+1.JPG" width="249" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
If I remember correctly I used PaperArtsy's Fresco Finish acrylic chalk paints to create an hombre effect background. I then stencilled some clear texture paste and sprinkled silver embossing powder whilst it was still wet. Once it was dry I heat embossed and then I used more acrylic paint to stencil the tree and added a bit of sparkle down one side. I added some silver embossing to the star (from Anna Marie) and did some die cutting for the flourishes and some foliage.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSXgyPeDoksc4GV4Qksus_LCJzIceRReNOaLAmveNVty2IXRhnBvhEjNkXHQk4SsV6eTEpsBN7r1hNv5WDVRo5gWWg9HQOmQbdY4UlXckcWM9RUPdjqTcRcgRZ-YdVHurk1N1-prkTCnVy/s1600/Christmas+chunky+canvas+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="646" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSXgyPeDoksc4GV4Qksus_LCJzIceRReNOaLAmveNVty2IXRhnBvhEjNkXHQk4SsV6eTEpsBN7r1hNv5WDVRo5gWWg9HQOmQbdY4UlXckcWM9RUPdjqTcRcgRZ-YdVHurk1N1-prkTCnVy/s320/Christmas+chunky+canvas+-+2.JPG" width="258" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I selected some berries and tiny pine cones (again from Anna Marie) and a few white flowers from my stash which I thought looked like Christmas roses. I always think of my lovely late Mother in Law when I see Christmas roses as she had some in her garden and always gave me a little bunch for the Christmas dinner table. I arranged all the embellishments, stamped and cut out the words and added the metal star to the tree. By the time I finished I really loved this little canvas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Next came the Christmas cards. I'd left it so late I'd almost decided to buy some ready made cards but my guilty conscience got the better of me thank goodness. I started out with some small batches of relatively simple scenic cards.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5oM3CmW8P2vK9y9rAIpUtqXN1IlIEQXn5W19AdTpP8M3l6b5OCup44NvOgHo2C51JXXHFYBegTzlmkmROq1JVnzDmiZO_8PmT000XJXctZqWOhHccBvAOJKx4FQn_2Ue375bCcM19DJc_/s1600/Small+batch+scenic+Christmas+card+2+-+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="488" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5oM3CmW8P2vK9y9rAIpUtqXN1IlIEQXn5W19AdTpP8M3l6b5OCup44NvOgHo2C51JXXHFYBegTzlmkmROq1JVnzDmiZO_8PmT000XJXctZqWOhHccBvAOJKx4FQn_2Ue375bCcM19DJc_/s320/Small+batch+scenic+Christmas+card+2+-+1.JPG" width="195" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This first set used up lots of the offcuts I end up with after making my favourite 8 x 8 cards bases and I rather like the elegance of the DL format. I used a mask and blending brush to create the soft snowy hillocks and then used a tall elegant Lavinia tree stamp and Claire Versafine Twilight, 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation to stamp the trees.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiATUBAeIcqHuLOPBz5ebBExlkEfHvd2N48AYmig9XyWrw28dVHBQJwVrwnhTsJuvNL6hezOJ4NU_R6C59QtRqsVJh-U_xgTtD_Stnsj-n1POLePQT0MN-hLkhM3VUQY7YtGcVyTAHGsn-7/s1600/Small+batch+scenic+Christmas+card+2+-+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiATUBAeIcqHuLOPBz5ebBExlkEfHvd2N48AYmig9XyWrw28dVHBQJwVrwnhTsJuvNL6hezOJ4NU_R6C59QtRqsVJh-U_xgTtD_Stnsj-n1POLePQT0MN-hLkhM3VUQY7YtGcVyTAHGsn-7/s320/Small+batch+scenic+Christmas+card+2+-+3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped a Chocolate Baroque sentiment and finally stencilled a star with clear texture paste, sprinkled embossing powder and left it to dry before heat embossing. Who saw the optical illusion I inadvertently created as soon as they looked at this card. I'll own up, it wasn't intentional but it's hard to decide whether the palest tree is in front or behind the middle tree, lol. I've decided it's a poorly tree that is falling backwards 😜!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This second batch is created in a similar
way to the previous one except I used a smaller Lavinia tree stamp and
changed it to a square format.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Dw6xOnMaHVfPXXyuxGmWZZ5mqZJmk_MKS6-jhPm2ro_JNwezMhIzPeIVFd27YPCN4pdIOChtp8uk8LSL5IRLXEJUsUijoPegLgAcFCdnoXNMBuvVf0QdepS3rDKwTkBGW-oX9PwhOjTn/s1600/Small+batch+scenic+Christmas+card+1+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Dw6xOnMaHVfPXXyuxGmWZZ5mqZJmk_MKS6-jhPm2ro_JNwezMhIzPeIVFd27YPCN4pdIOChtp8uk8LSL5IRLXEJUsUijoPegLgAcFCdnoXNMBuvVf0QdepS3rDKwTkBGW-oX9PwhOjTn/s320/Small+batch+scenic+Christmas+card+1+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also stamped matted the 'topper' onto a slightly larger square base card, edging each one with a marker first. I also added some subtle Stickles sparkle to the front tree.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This third batch was created by stamping the trees directly onto my square card base. Sorry I can't remember who the stamp is by and I've packed them away for now, lol. I then stamped again onto some of the Christmas designer papers I have in my stash and decoupaged them onto the card base. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrh_UmTDraJWdzKdpV5ZJb8yWphI6GazFvhT5280S_lD8VQ0T3m5asDvtImzpRDGaqtT8bd0jvLzzsfSBkSRrleJK9SEpH5OH0GRiKZTcRTj7JT0ow8FjDdoAkKalagP-U7TAs8s6McFPb/s1600/Small+batch+clean+and+simple+Christmas+card+1+-+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="730" data-original-width="750" height="311" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrh_UmTDraJWdzKdpV5ZJb8yWphI6GazFvhT5280S_lD8VQ0T3m5asDvtImzpRDGaqtT8bd0jvLzzsfSBkSRrleJK9SEpH5OH0GRiKZTcRTj7JT0ow8FjDdoAkKalagP-U7TAs8s6McFPb/s320/Small+batch+clean+and+simple+Christmas+card+1+-+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sentiment stamp makes up the set with the tree stamp and I cut it out and edged in black before adding to the card. The little snowy mounds are from a Hobby Art set which is coming up in the next set of cards and finally I added red Stickles to the baubles.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This final batch of cards was created using a lovely fun set of stamps from the equally lovely Jenny Mayes (Hobby Art). I bought them at the Happy Stampers show in Port Sunlight last Autumn because I fell in love with this snowman. There are a total of eight stamps used in this little scene and typically I forgot I could have used my stamping platform, lol! I really enjoyed making these though and stamped the scarf and nose and the little pile of snowballs onto separate care to colour (with pencils) then cut out and decoupage on 3D foam. </div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The little heart is glazed with Glossy Accents and I added sparkle pen here and there and blended some blue ink at the top. Finally I edged each topper with a marker pen in a colour to co-ordinate with each snowmans scarf. </div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
So, they were all the small batches I made and I'm so glad I didn't give in to buying cards because, as usual, they were a pleasure to make and helped set the mood for Christmas.</div>

Next post up will be what I call my VIP cards so come back later if you can.</div>

How bad is that!<br />
<br />
Hello everyone, long time no see....as they say.....and thanks for stopping by today,<br />
<br />
I really have no excuse for not blogging as I have made quite a few things over the past 3 months inspite of the heat driving me out of my craftroom for several weeks and I'm annoyed with myself because my blog is primarily my own record of how I created things so I must try and update it with my recent makes. I do share all my stuff on Facebook and Instagram but that doesn't record the how too and a lovely lady left a comment on one such FB share today asking how I made a trio of tags so I'm starting with those.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWrOTxUG4RQqVn3zNFSxog7BT32qMDIpwVxlzihkiLKKbpWbDGRujWG6IUbqXkFaMLHQDe0kPHlZM68iV93j8My_zvmHXrkX8QbBEf1-cMwh0uKk07jxHxoEfDXKF8gW5gysyIa0q8PoP_/s1600/Tag+trio+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="642" data-original-width="750" height="273" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWrOTxUG4RQqVn3zNFSxog7BT32qMDIpwVxlzihkiLKKbpWbDGRujWG6IUbqXkFaMLHQDe0kPHlZM68iV93j8My_zvmHXrkX8QbBEf1-cMwh0uKk07jxHxoEfDXKF8gW5gysyIa0q8PoP_/s320/Tag+trio+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This set of tags were originally a gift from a friend several years ago and were plain tags dyed with tea. I decided I'd hoarded them long enough and as I wanted to experiment with mixing mica powders into Prima 3D gel, I dug them out. I chose 3 shades of mica powder and mixed them into small blobs of the gel and then applied them through stencils onto the tags. I used all three colours on each tag overlapping them slightly to get a blend of the colours. As the gel starts to cure fairly quickly it was getting a tad sticky by the time I got to the last tag (the middle one in the pic above) but I quite liked the less than perfect effect I ended up with, lol! I also found it bled a little under the stencils.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxcIy-19kF5jeFd5we2-OdWF6XKTNvTvuEvC56gG6YjgYoklxJ1yUdBLwwGRuYImcF0HwG3kLIZ5JmmafqwhpUXkj8zwvS8IqZExLoG2HUgsRERCvZ5mMZkqLh9dw6mhQKoJ1gv96loWcv/s1600/Tag+trio+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1154" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxcIy-19kF5jeFd5we2-OdWF6XKTNvTvuEvC56gG6YjgYoklxJ1yUdBLwwGRuYImcF0HwG3kLIZ5JmmafqwhpUXkj8zwvS8IqZExLoG2HUgsRERCvZ5mMZkqLh9dw6mhQKoJ1gv96loWcv/s320/Tag+trio+-+2b.jpg" width="207" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This first tag is just made up from die cut bits left over from previous projects except for the piece of Scrapiniec chipboard on the top which was a recent purchase from <a href="https://www.artfuldays.co.uk/ourshop/cat_1354737-Scrapiniec-Chipboard.html">Artful Days</a>...well worth a visit online 😉 I heat embossed this piece with one of Seth Apters Baked Texture powders.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGk7aXxknPQYo6K260gg8m-lYrm1Ejv8N4NLpZoP9Hg405jFhXdw_aWF40VodYmWDAIk8LMMKBuMsDpDNmpv0QwpbBrXrNqubl3sq-EY7Dk2h8sWh76m-42hc5lS8T-NFcdmZOjAyvtzbN/s1600/Tag+trio+-+3b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGk7aXxknPQYo6K260gg8m-lYrm1Ejv8N4NLpZoP9Hg405jFhXdw_aWF40VodYmWDAIk8LMMKBuMsDpDNmpv0QwpbBrXrNqubl3sq-EY7Dk2h8sWh76m-42hc5lS8T-NFcdmZOjAyvtzbN/s320/Tag+trio+-+3b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The butterfly was painted with Twinkling H2O ....not had those out in years either! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLbnhEPlF4xKUuiFP4CWvNY1-cQ09vkHf75IzldE5vQ__e281TzMmsKLEUWavtB06EsSCkVMDfkFH82Udl_bcoCy-9PUI-StS_8CsSwzXOvEF6V7qozvoB8qQkKB84eKgMVJS3WBu4e_rb/s1600/Tag+trio+-+4b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="661" data-original-width="750" height="282" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLbnhEPlF4xKUuiFP4CWvNY1-cQ09vkHf75IzldE5vQ__e281TzMmsKLEUWavtB06EsSCkVMDfkFH82Udl_bcoCy-9PUI-StS_8CsSwzXOvEF6V7qozvoB8qQkKB84eKgMVJS3WBu4e_rb/s320/Tag+trio+-+4b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the second tag I used a stencil from Artful Days for both the eye and the numbers (a very significant year for me, lol). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixeK6Diy07ZptrathJAZ1CIUKHeUY5-vcvC9MXCtU0NHSlPg6otM7Q7snMcBFHn0SkmNcAykuswLmyznnTwQrAH8r0iFjav0-vp1yyC02nyOLk79sfOpl-jjJCTUINKj1FyOk5k-crF3Wi/s1600/Tag+trio+-+5b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1013" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixeK6Diy07ZptrathJAZ1CIUKHeUY5-vcvC9MXCtU0NHSlPg6otM7Q7snMcBFHn0SkmNcAykuswLmyznnTwQrAH8r0iFjav0-vp1yyC02nyOLk79sfOpl-jjJCTUINKj1FyOk5k-crF3Wi/s320/Tag+trio+-+5b.jpg" width="236" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Archival ink then gave the eye a pupil and a bit of light
reflection and I also stamped some script using Archival. Finally I
added some Tim Holtz Chit Chat Stickers and edged the tag with black.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMTB91qgOcYEgX4WY1NpJhZlVYR8hjZAZHurf2i4aLVDjz-ctuzLz6FjbdzsB8koB74L4YtcdPXz_JHMi6hxhkeDdHK1FO-dbx33ycX7oQepK7qLEXt3HbpeUb37iCQEpAWZUFr_o1tJRD/s1600/Tag+trio+-+6b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMTB91qgOcYEgX4WY1NpJhZlVYR8hjZAZHurf2i4aLVDjz-ctuzLz6FjbdzsB8koB74L4YtcdPXz_JHMi6hxhkeDdHK1FO-dbx33ycX7oQepK7qLEXt3HbpeUb37iCQEpAWZUFr_o1tJRD/s320/Tag+trio+-+6b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the final tag first I stamped some script onto the background then I took a little paper doily, blended Sepia ink onto it and then stamped a damask design in black before attaching it to the tag. I dug out some long forgotten German scrap and added strips top and bottom.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaQ177SQBL0Y8yVFPWRO-JX9cwVlfw4oTxOrWfDv_WPw4vjs4HxmswSBmOaH3WufCYZHfA6k9EswQoTOBME1CiR8CnBoRbcG3JFgry8_piGV2e_2LT6nTVw3z5ie5AU4_-C2iLb30rC_E4/s1600/Tag+trio+-+7b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1076" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaQ177SQBL0Y8yVFPWRO-JX9cwVlfw4oTxOrWfDv_WPw4vjs4HxmswSBmOaH3WufCYZHfA6k9EswQoTOBME1CiR8CnBoRbcG3JFgry8_piGV2e_2LT6nTVw3z5ie5AU4_-C2iLb30rC_E4/s320/Tag+trio+-+7b.jpg" width="223" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another ancient piece of stash was the Kraft chipboard die cut border at the bottom. I inked it with red Archival then stamped the script and inked the edges then stuck it to the tag with 3D gel.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioEUTIMpGAeBSyu3fMUgeQwFzqVQmaHpf-AToIEtStxFdc_34yxOdgUCrOv6t_U4nkfzhs72A4YyyiZQuciFObLilA6R-6OVKw8uwDUezioJID2cVXX6jCJSCmPLWE5hk_svn8rWfjwsJc/s1600/Tag+trio+-+8b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="604" data-original-width="750" height="257" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioEUTIMpGAeBSyu3fMUgeQwFzqVQmaHpf-AToIEtStxFdc_34yxOdgUCrOv6t_U4nkfzhs72A4YyyiZQuciFObLilA6R-6OVKw8uwDUezioJID2cVXX6jCJSCmPLWE5hk_svn8rWfjwsJc/s320/Tag+trio+-+8b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I attached the metal embellishment then decided to lift the texture on it and the doily with some Treasure Gold highlights. Some ribbon and a gorgeous paperclip finished it off. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrCWYUUpcf7WHK34z5dKWeLdmpZyAfBVgWHCXr79GdNmwbVnzaSLQP-IsP0Ts-SCpiwuqjY_DpPQfieIw2F_7lSQoEpxL75ozs4ZAoJFtM4NpOM4Z_8-PCArcK9Stwt6xXwdWiPkGPjTAL/s1600/Tag+trio+-+9b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrCWYUUpcf7WHK34z5dKWeLdmpZyAfBVgWHCXr79GdNmwbVnzaSLQP-IsP0Ts-SCpiwuqjY_DpPQfieIw2F_7lSQoEpxL75ozs4ZAoJFtM4NpOM4Z_8-PCArcK9Stwt6xXwdWiPkGPjTAL/s320/Tag+trio+-+9b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Isn't it funny how very often the things you don't set out to create in the first instance often turn into the things you get the most pleasure from.......or is that just me, lol!<br />
<br />
I'll try to catch up with some more of my makes over the next week or so and hope you can drop by again.<br />

<br />
It's another glorious day here and I am so grateful for the very strong breeze keeping the temperature manageable.......for now! My craftroom is out of bounds though because we have a chappie demolishing our pergola (the wood has rotted) right outside so I can't open the doors and it's unbearably hot in there. So, I thought I'd catch up with recording a recent make on here which I shared on social media a couple of weeks ago.<br />
<br />
I created a card using two more of Darcy's new fun characters for PaperArtsy. This time Cedric and Lola are two BFFs going for a walk amongst the flowers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnhPo6TY4Ct2cJ9EBQxCByoqhP-zqNX85O9H_uCZ53uCPvYcftQVu7OKnO-n2bcl0hib0nY3DRlQQcuAMO-RYwuW8VUcpN-Kfr4r-Sc2eQMR_twu0tkDAGJ2L3rfBGXCF1TnmVozRP9ofM/s1600/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Cedric+and+friend+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnhPo6TY4Ct2cJ9EBQxCByoqhP-zqNX85O9H_uCZ53uCPvYcftQVu7OKnO-n2bcl0hib0nY3DRlQQcuAMO-RYwuW8VUcpN-Kfr4r-Sc2eQMR_twu0tkDAGJ2L3rfBGXCF1TnmVozRP9ofM/s320/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Cedric+and+friend+-+2b.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once again I have been good and used up a previously made Distress Oxide background. I stamped Cedric and Lola first using black Archival then stamped the other images around them using Distress Oxides. I just love that I can get a beautifully stamped image with the oxides.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4nJqeGv8ifehd59aYJ8EXP21SjPeQlb98bdaFtyLhGrvnPN6MMBimGdRS87g2R7QAcA3ewJKrCRNs0keoHFhGwOcpvTO42nyViR2B3i2dVzTm3UM77kjnNPecY4Q8l3kyZ0kLDyZnmw7V/s1600/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Cedric+and+friend+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4nJqeGv8ifehd59aYJ8EXP21SjPeQlb98bdaFtyLhGrvnPN6MMBimGdRS87g2R7QAcA3ewJKrCRNs0keoHFhGwOcpvTO42nyViR2B3i2dVzTm3UM77kjnNPecY4Q8l3kyZ0kLDyZnmw7V/s320/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Cedric+and+friend+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Polychromos pencils to colour Cedric and Lola and the flower centres and was delighted when I realised lots of the words from Darcy's two new sets fit perfectly into the centres. I added a bit of white doodling and two more words from the new sets before edging the card with more Oxide ink and matting it onto the card base.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It was lots of fun to create this and I do love to be able to use my pencils on these quirky images.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

Thanks for dropping by.</div>

Hi Everyone! </div>
<br />
One of the gorgeous AALL & Create stamps I purchased recently was this beautiful <a href="http://www.thatscrafty.co.uk/aall-and-create-border-stamp-81-exterminati-sunt.html">butterfly collage image by Olga Heldwein</a>. I've only used it once before and not as a complete image but just to cut out a couple of the butterflies to add as embellishments. I had the stamp out on my desk last week and wanted to try stamping the whole image. I tried a couple of times with a block with poor results so decided to use my Be Creative stamp press so that I could reapply ink and restamp several times if necessary. I found it best to prime the stamp, first with Versamark then clean with a wet wipe followed by Archival which I let sit for a while. I think I wiped mine off with a rag but you can just leave it to dry. I finally used Versafine to actually stamp the image and I only had to repeat stamp once to get a pretty good image. What I didn't realise at the time was that the card I had picked up has a slightly shimmery, pearlescent surface so I think had it been proper stamping card it might have stamped well the first inking, lol. Never mind, all's well that ends well!<br />
<br />
The stamped image sat on my desk for a few days until I caught sight of <a href="https://pushingtherightbuttons.blogspot.com/2018/06/aall-create-exterminati-sunt-by-olga.html">Jenny Marples' beautiful DT card</a> using the same stamp on the AALL & Create FB group which lit the inspiration fuse and today's card is the result.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcH2zjpFDrYRLCKyzWgYnyExeUeVuS9DlIG9uklMY8j5ZsjzU1LJj9mofO6bo0HAH98UCfO5u_nxVNlt7HF22aFzpSeR-ZQcAC2c16HAfmRadRtnlJWlT4TnDlXYBJAb1Zc8_hFKJiw9ap/s1600/AALL+%2526+Create+Butterfly+Collage+Card+-+1b.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1001" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcH2zjpFDrYRLCKyzWgYnyExeUeVuS9DlIG9uklMY8j5ZsjzU1LJj9mofO6bo0HAH98UCfO5u_nxVNlt7HF22aFzpSeR-ZQcAC2c16HAfmRadRtnlJWlT4TnDlXYBJAb1Zc8_hFKJiw9ap/s320/AALL+%2526+Create+Butterfly+Collage+Card+-+1b.jpg" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
After stamping the main image I stamped and cut out a mask for the large butterfly then I put some Amsterdam Acrylic Inks onto my craftmat and spritzed with water to thin them a little before picking the colour up on a brayer and very randomly brayering over the whole surface. I deliberately missed areas here and there. I blended a little black Archival around the edges</div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVAbjO5j4xcbrQjvWiULwkbmKXZjyNovVuxIlAWF9xRt70g2rwGpqpGsciZm1JsRRrhRACYYZ-1vi2AoOIHhzFCtTSBhgy6qAMbxndCjRIDslBo9nxHhi6fthAeTehr-EN14wJqGzmoJX1/s1600/AALL+%2526+Create+Butterfly+Collage+Card+-+2b.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVAbjO5j4xcbrQjvWiULwkbmKXZjyNovVuxIlAWF9xRt70g2rwGpqpGsciZm1JsRRrhRACYYZ-1vi2AoOIHhzFCtTSBhgy6qAMbxndCjRIDslBo9nxHhi6fthAeTehr-EN14wJqGzmoJX1/s320/AALL+%2526+Create+Butterfly+Collage+Card+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the big butterfly again onto a piece of card and fussy cut it then adhered it to the main piece just by the body leaving the wings free for dimension. I trapped some thread beneath the butterfly at the same time. The finishing touches were some beads of Ranger black enamel accents and the little quote from one of <a href="http://www.thatscrafty.co.uk/aall-and-create-stamp-set-44.html">Tracy Evans sets for AALL&C</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Once I sussed out the stamping of the main image this was quite a simple card to create and yet I think it's very effective. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Have a lovely sunny day everyone and see you soon.</div>

<br />
Last Sunday saw me at Doncaster Dome for the Stampmagic Craft Show, my favourite not least because it's just up the road, lol. A few nice goodies might have found their way home with me 😉 and hopefully you will gradually see more of them over the coming weeks but tonight I have a cute little tag to share using a fun character designed by the lovely Darcy for PaperArtsy.<br />
<br />
Darcy was demoing for Stampers Grove and they had special permission to sell Darcy's new stamps a week before their official release but we were sworn to secrecy, lol. Well, tonight the stamps were released over on the <a href="https://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2018/06/new-paperartsy-products-darcy-june-2018.html">PaperArtsy blog</a> so I'm free to share this little creation. I bought Darcy's two new sets EDY22 and EDY23. Poppie is on EDY23
together with the heart circles. The arrow and words come from EDY 22.
Both these sets have loads of individual words from which it is easy to
create your own phrases.....soooo useful and I love that simple, easy
to read font to. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigDZvy1ePspdsXcmqymH0SbDUJWqH3aIjz0PW0wxi6kEVSadXe0nV6pPnM11Cm1IrMBff-82Jv08Ybhmdb_Hq_hR_oG5IYvbZNf5_jO3QZpo9VQmKLzKz-s5RxPAOmYXDToM2Khqy2WSOF/s1600/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Dottie+tag+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigDZvy1ePspdsXcmqymH0SbDUJWqH3aIjz0PW0wxi6kEVSadXe0nV6pPnM11Cm1IrMBff-82Jv08Ybhmdb_Hq_hR_oG5IYvbZNf5_jO3QZpo9VQmKLzKz-s5RxPAOmYXDToM2Khqy2WSOF/s320/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Dottie+tag+-+1b.jpg" width="222" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The tag was already lying around on my desk from a previous play session and if I remember rightly I used Distress Oxides picked up from my craft mat and through a stencil. I stamped Poppie using a nifty little trick <a href="http://marvelousmechanicalmouseorgan.blogspot.com/">Lauren</a> apparently demoed at Ally Pally in April (unfortunately I didn't get to see it irl). I used my stamping platform to stamp the original image, made sure I kept the stamp and the tag in place while I painted the image with Fresco Finish Acrylics and when it was dry I restamped. Brilliant! Absolutely no problem now painting images with acrylics, especially the opaque ones. All the lovely details are back nice and sharp!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5VQCTs1vd_mouJ8XDqsWET7hNT1Z5yokXaPmTjt9Pso4DiR0FdejqQ7uRwCQq-OL5rIzmf4qtU1c2MhMLk2zODWslDjvTJygDqaDpItHxpDqfvd-upLQnaLy3qKimjxGBsM3oEx9BQ9z-/s1600/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Dottie+tag+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5VQCTs1vd_mouJ8XDqsWET7hNT1Z5yokXaPmTjt9Pso4DiR0FdejqQ7uRwCQq-OL5rIzmf4qtU1c2MhMLk2zODWslDjvTJygDqaDpItHxpDqfvd-upLQnaLy3qKimjxGBsM3oEx9BQ9z-/s320/Darcy%2527s+June+releases+-+Dottie+tag+-+2b.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the rest of the images and painted them. I didn't bother with the stamping platform again as I was using transluscents this time. I stamped the words I wanted onto separate card cut them out and positioned them on the tag then backed it with co-ordinating card. Finally I used Glossy Accents on her bow and heart and added some fibre.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There are several more fun characters on the new sets as well as other fun and useful imagery. There's a fab cat with attitude on EDY22 so do pop over to the <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/">PaperArtsy Blog</a> and see the rest of Darcy's stamp sets which are now available at all PaperArtsy stockists. </div>

<br />
It's a bit grey here today and cool but it's dry and breezy so I think it will dry my washing and I do like the cool 😄, it makes my craftroom more accessible for a start, lol! Anyway, after watching a <a href="http://www.thatscrafty.co.uk/thats-crafty-clear-stamp-sets-by-lynne-moncrieff.html">That's Crafty</a> show on a craft TV channel (I record so I can fast forward through all the spiel, lol, and then order from source where ever possible) I couldn't wait to order some gorgeous stamp sets by the very talented <a href="https://lynnesbowsandbelles.wordpress.com/">Lynne Moncrieff</a> (her blog is simply beautiful). I got 3 of her Affirmations sets and this card was my first make using Set 9.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNvfCeDp9hVzPpHq2yj4o-8PopvDIjr5Qy_SP0JLSKzxX1LxE3eY8QbHP770cVBu-XU6UhY1-ew_OPxnkn5_qAqZwL87IXGSJYiJE0bJB3bS6FvQhxG42BYeIY96AHIpdT-tmMJ7PpmKel/s1600/Lynne+Moncrieff+stamps+-+Affirmations+Set+9+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="560" data-original-width="750" height="238" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNvfCeDp9hVzPpHq2yj4o-8PopvDIjr5Qy_SP0JLSKzxX1LxE3eY8QbHP770cVBu-XU6UhY1-ew_OPxnkn5_qAqZwL87IXGSJYiJE0bJB3bS6FvQhxG42BYeIY96AHIpdT-tmMJ7PpmKel/s320/Lynne+Moncrieff+stamps+-+Affirmations+Set+9+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I already had the background piece lying on my desk as I had attempted to create a piece for the <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/">PaperArtsy</a> Challenge of neutrals but I didn't get it done in time. It's a piece of acrylic paper on which I blended Fresco Finish paints in Nougat, Vintage Lace (discontinued Boo! Hoo!) and Blush, and on top I did some random stamping in a mix of Mushroom and London Night FF, using a fab script stamp from a Scrapcosy set for PaperArtsy. There's also a bit of a take on a Seth Apter technique of painting a piece of card (in this case a piece of the slightly textured acrylic paper) and pressing it to my main piece using the Mushroom. It creates a lovely bit of texture.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2jK92oD97a8oNoPSSwWhJkncjrTX1oDr8oZf86S_8c-lRODI-1vOvnjVEJs2BOMlsxrmJHq5I1ARzUSfyqiI9xZ5NAxAJfuk3jetPCvl2_2ydtu8hNHgrGNb_74jLypDeTaN5WFmtfMjI/s1600/Lynne+Moncrieff+stamps+-+Affirmations+Set+9+-+3b.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2jK92oD97a8oNoPSSwWhJkncjrTX1oDr8oZf86S_8c-lRODI-1vOvnjVEJs2BOMlsxrmJHq5I1ARzUSfyqiI9xZ5NAxAJfuk3jetPCvl2_2ydtu8hNHgrGNb_74jLypDeTaN5WFmtfMjI/s320/Lynne+Moncrieff+stamps+-+Affirmations+Set+9+-+3b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next I stencilled some leaves using Sage FF then bumped the stencil slightly and went over with Nougat. The final part of my background was to stencil some Prima (Finnabair) clear texture paste and when this was dry I touched it with a watery mix of Mushroom and London Night FF. I really liked the way the texture paste grabbed it and it soaked into the tiny cracks but didn't spread beyond the stencilling. .....very happy accident, lol!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3arnjTnmDlbYXyvmoj9I2W_CjD5_E4MblLGZ5oWsoMs3chYXVreVASZUbHSakmIaxi3FDWUq6v5nR0iw3-AIUtcrGxAmqVNnbId9xAM6DCFCaTn3aDGoVFmWbF6hRo-C6BdqHFhzHpJfJ/s1600/Lynne+Moncrieff+stamps+-+Affirmations+Set+9+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3arnjTnmDlbYXyvmoj9I2W_CjD5_E4MblLGZ5oWsoMs3chYXVreVASZUbHSakmIaxi3FDWUq6v5nR0iw3-AIUtcrGxAmqVNnbId9xAM6DCFCaTn3aDGoVFmWbF6hRo-C6BdqHFhzHpJfJ/s320/Lynne+Moncrieff+stamps+-+Affirmations+Set+9+-+2b.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I stamped the lovely sunflower onto separate card, coloured it with Polychromos pencils and then fussy cut it. I even got my craft knife out and cut the teeny bits out.... something I usually avoid! I tinted a piece of binding and a scrap of gauzy stuff with FF, stripped a piece of corrugated card and added a bit of paint and then found a piece of lace to cut up (from an old bra I was throwing out 😁). I layered everything up and finally stamped the lovely phrases from Lynne's set to cut out and add as the finishing touch.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These are lovely quality clear stamps and they stamp beautifully. I can't wait to use the other two sets I bought and all those wonderful phrases will be so useful on all sorts of projects.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now I have to figure out why I've lost the ability to pin my makes to Pinterest from my blog....is it something to do with the shenanigans on 25th May or the mega cleanup our lovely 'puter expert did last week???</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
See you again soon.</div>

<br />
My final catch up post is some tags I made just for fun whilst trying out some fab new stamps from Aall & Create.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGDFMow5CB5m3gGoLbpi6bLBZU9ee9t1b9qMZiyGitAjOIEeXdYGN2tG2sUzHMY_F5q9IfKZJXkPa8YDP0hzQBUp1Zsi2tnWatTfPEJaGkSLHkjdiJk1a__TkB8RiCYdsuYAba0KFIvk_e/s1600/Old+stash+tag+meets+new+stamps+from+Aall+Nd+Create+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1144" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGDFMow5CB5m3gGoLbpi6bLBZU9ee9t1b9qMZiyGitAjOIEeXdYGN2tG2sUzHMY_F5q9IfKZJXkPa8YDP0hzQBUp1Zsi2tnWatTfPEJaGkSLHkjdiJk1a__TkB8RiCYdsuYAba0KFIvk_e/s320/Old+stash+tag+meets+new+stamps+from+Aall+Nd+Create+-+1b.jpg" width="209" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This first one was a tag I created the background on several years ago so as usual I'm not sure what with. It looks like Oxides but can't be because I made it before Oxides came out so possibly Distress Inks smooshed and spritzed on my craft mat. I have added a bit of splattering with white Glimmer Mist spray and Crafty Notions white chalk spray. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQriKcluiTCtU2SWBF_DJtn8BKj0mHSj-XeEIQkQKitpLq3eaLN2pHe_HsMgfX0wt1mg5HfHHt02qUymjLKXxtTbyhHk-GL4h7m3ZqGzArlJ6667Q5HJqH8E781nMofOQuza6uI8-ihYxi/s1600/Old+stash+tag+meets+new+stamps+from+Aall+Nd+Create+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQriKcluiTCtU2SWBF_DJtn8BKj0mHSj-XeEIQkQKitpLq3eaLN2pHe_HsMgfX0wt1mg5HfHHt02qUymjLKXxtTbyhHk-GL4h7m3ZqGzArlJ6667Q5HJqH8E781nMofOQuza6uI8-ihYxi/s320/Old+stash+tag+meets+new+stamps+from+Aall+Nd+Create+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I inked up a particular section of an A4 size stamp by Tracy Evans for Aall & Create and pressed the tag down onto it. You rarely get a perfect stamped image that way but that was ok for me as I wanted a more distressed look. I die cut a circle from black card and heat embossed with some 'new to me' Wow semi matt ep and stuck it over one of the stamped circles. I highlighted the word ART with white pen and added some stencilling with the same pen using one of AA&C stencil. The butterflies are from another AA&C stamp which I stamped onto some red card and cut out. I added some shimmer with a marker and a Sakura gel pen. and stuck them to the tag just by the bodies. Metal embellishments and sari ribbon were then added to finish it off. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkt-ht5En7JsR30XUoPA_GMXggsBNa5ZJo8cCFDpTOvA1BElUv-aF7yC9mVr610b_W8NUTYp99RHBK55qASEwXMo9TjgiFD9dnT8YV4fiUGc9xXE3WCYoy7aadD-CxkUXJoa1gAnzbrpgs/s1600/Compass+Tag+with+Aall+Nd+Create+stamps+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1093" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkt-ht5En7JsR30XUoPA_GMXggsBNa5ZJo8cCFDpTOvA1BElUv-aF7yC9mVr610b_W8NUTYp99RHBK55qASEwXMo9TjgiFD9dnT8YV4fiUGc9xXE3WCYoy7aadD-CxkUXJoa1gAnzbrpgs/s320/Compass+Tag+with+Aall+Nd+Create+stamps+-+1b.jpg" width="219" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This tag uses yet more sets of AA&C stamp sets together with stuff I had just hanging around on my desk at the time. Strips of paper stuck randomly to the tag, Fresco Finish acrylic paints picked up from my craft mat and a Tando chipboard compass and cog which got painted, stamped and then heat embossed with clear ep. I just love those little word stamps!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTem32cLlwt-X_1eOGBdgVIeTHrQIktYk2E_-XIxovWbyBbo87VHHIagr0VueCAa-HYgsH2FhjFfoZkjkKaxT7_4t85mIsRbkA53jOlHjboVXZKnv9Gn5mmB9xWrUyR8LOA4r9riqteSSR/s1600/Tag+from+playday+with+Emma+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTem32cLlwt-X_1eOGBdgVIeTHrQIktYk2E_-XIxovWbyBbo87VHHIagr0VueCAa-HYgsH2FhjFfoZkjkKaxT7_4t85mIsRbkA53jOlHjboVXZKnv9Gn5mmB9xWrUyR8LOA4r9riqteSSR/s320/Tag+from+playday+with+Emma+-+1b.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The final tag began life when my friend Emma came for a crafting playdate and brought the lovely cow parsley border stamp to try out. I stamped it onto a scrap of Brusho background and then got stuck, lol! Sometime later when Tim Holtz brought out his Distress Resist Spray it brought to mind the Tsukineko Goosebumps spray I had bought years before and never used so I dug it out, fully expecting it to be useless by now but after a bit of coaxing it worked and I sprayed onto a tag. I then blended some inks over the top (Oxides I think) and realised the pretty border piece co-ordinated beautifully so I added some stamping from another of Tracy Evans sets (love that little heart border), some lace scraps left from another project and, a first for me, decided to get the sewing machine out to add some random 'messy' stitching. My goodness how difficult I find it to sew messy on purpose! Anyway, then end result really pleased me, lol!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Phew, that concludes my catch up posts. I'm sure there has been other stuff I've missed sharing but never mind. Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back with something new. Until then have fun and take care everyone.</div>

<br />
It's my third catch up this week, one more after this and I'm up to date as far as I can remember.<br />
<br />
Today's shares are cards I created mainly for the fun of trying out new stamps but they will eventually be sent with love from me to people I care about. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkohgdO5hYzjxRcgkq_cEwfQwjZgzmwng-LqeeOB8yRXlhQE2-Ozk547Gvxd9VTXgCnDSx5h5n2XybhN8vXkmY5vI1hRW9gb3PvbhAoY07G-xR7dssO5-UlMr0A9HoH3p_oP2RFL8fJ8Td/s1600/Sunshiny+card+with+Jofy+stamps+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="974" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkohgdO5hYzjxRcgkq_cEwfQwjZgzmwng-LqeeOB8yRXlhQE2-Ozk547Gvxd9VTXgCnDSx5h5n2XybhN8vXkmY5vI1hRW9gb3PvbhAoY07G-xR7dssO5-UlMr0A9HoH3p_oP2RFL8fJ8Td/s320/Sunshiny+card+with+Jofy+stamps+-+1b.jpg" width="246" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created this first one some months ago using a then newly released Jofy for PaperArtsy stamp set so as usual not entirely sure on the background but I think I scribbled Fibralo markers onto my craftmat, spritzed with water then splattered with a brush over my card. I probably used co-ordinating Distress Inks to lightly blend round the edges. I stamped with Watering Can Archival Ink and coloured with pencils (either Derwent Coloursoft or Polychromos).</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The flowers were stamped onto separate card and I have no idea what that was coloured with, lol! I added colour to the details with pencils, cut them out and shaped them before attaching to the card. The sentiments are 7 Dots Studio word strip stickers and a bit of white pen finished it off. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN3wzj07i6ycKDXzUCcndOv5J81IBlTKAC2IsxbjMlMHit1_1THCswNjhtLxaHaY4uIHKUyYYbKkLclHuCPfIOKVxILZLIZI3E2L3eMCj_AsSVr45TDEFX2_WiIjJPFEPSmQu7sBUEPhE_/s1600/Greeting+a+Friend+Lavinia+stamps+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="733" data-original-width="750" height="312" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN3wzj07i6ycKDXzUCcndOv5J81IBlTKAC2IsxbjMlMHit1_1THCswNjhtLxaHaY4uIHKUyYYbKkLclHuCPfIOKVxILZLIZI3E2L3eMCj_AsSVr45TDEFX2_WiIjJPFEPSmQu7sBUEPhE_/s320/Greeting+a+Friend+Lavinia+stamps+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This second card has been created using some of my newest Lavinia stamps. The background is Oxide Inks but leaving lots of white. I added some stencilling with Archival Ink before stamping the fairy and her little friend and the hillocks were created with torn paper and Archival ink which I also used to blend around the edges. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbT8bOLnDBiJ0rxIjpTvfISxLiaOYrrIMWrr54FGn__XFZ5WmIMcJNZl5hODakMIOQumMCJvvnNepcHQw1Netz1OBee_8FquCWNBvTjpASEnbeFG54duxwjd-vbASU9qwCy0rGzS5FhSsD/s1600/Greeting+a+Friend+Lavinia+stamps+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="628" data-original-width="750" height="267" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbT8bOLnDBiJ0rxIjpTvfISxLiaOYrrIMWrr54FGn__XFZ5WmIMcJNZl5hODakMIOQumMCJvvnNepcHQw1Netz1OBee_8FquCWNBvTjpASEnbeFG54duxwjd-vbASU9qwCy0rGzS5FhSsD/s320/Greeting+a+Friend+Lavinia+stamps+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used various Archival Ink colours to stamp all the foliage and finally painted Stickles to the centres of the pods and the fairy wings. Lavinia stamps always make me smile and I was delighted with this card. Not sure I can bear to part with it, lol!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Right, one more day to go then I'm caught up.</div>

<br />
We have finally been having some nice weather here in the UK, for the majority that is. As for me well.......let's just say a tad cooler would be my preference, lol!<br />
<br />
It's cards again today but these were made for my card stash and also to have a go at using some large background stamps that I always struggle to know what to do with. I really enjoyed making these as I got to use some more of my experimental background stash. It's such a good feeling to actually get some of them used, lol!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbLy8bhRNn5ah7pzYWYwqO-huYfxQHDpUv41csL2PEOd4MBeZImXaBEsQfDFQnQQStUtQ6OJykXnnapuc0C95XeTlq5U0Prq1EwA6ziCPk0AisZgCoH42Yw9R09Iu1KEu3jDvRBH5qQ4Qt/s1600/Using+a+background+stamp+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="737" data-original-width="750" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbLy8bhRNn5ah7pzYWYwqO-huYfxQHDpUv41csL2PEOd4MBeZImXaBEsQfDFQnQQStUtQ6OJykXnnapuc0C95XeTlq5U0Prq1EwA6ziCPk0AisZgCoH42Yw9R09Iu1KEu3jDvRBH5qQ4Qt/s320/Using+a+background+stamp+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This marble stamp was wood mounted and has been in my collection for many years totally neglected and unloved. It has now been removed from the wood and can be used with my Be Creative stamp press which makes it so much easier to get a good impression with. The background is Oxide Ink onto glossy card which I polished once it was dry. It gives a lovely finish! I stamped with Black Archival (I think) and used a scrap of the background to create the sentiment strip mounted onto black card and with some thread to embellish a little.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOqhIr1XoTzCg4fpLiA5fidkFrOEg_8uXg1ozE08JB2oQX6KsItPQRAMjE3l-7DpOnReytQHf6Sgtz6rBqtWA3hivWmQIYphKmkioNQrXFDjbkluMcEE_ZBnjyfcbEfqbnfRlTGmU9PElX/s1600/Using+a+background+stamp+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOqhIr1XoTzCg4fpLiA5fidkFrOEg_8uXg1ozE08JB2oQX6KsItPQRAMjE3l-7DpOnReytQHf6Sgtz6rBqtWA3hivWmQIYphKmkioNQrXFDjbkluMcEE_ZBnjyfcbEfqbnfRlTGmU9PElX/s320/Using+a+background+stamp+-+2b.jpg" width="194" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The second card uses another old wood backed stamp which is now without the wood, lol! Again it's an Oxide Ink background but on matte coated card this time. Such a pretty pastel background and perfect for this negative image. I can't say who's the stamp manufacturer as there was no name on the block. The quote is from one of Alison Bomber's fab word sets for PaperArtsy. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOILb3kkFOvgSu7-d0BAizM6d70EDjxD3XGJ1mDCDasOiRlatHhp0bLM5TrlubwxsVm7b7KIDpL3Xt7t1OXlYiw5KnP7TdoKIDUrw9V2yOMJYcIDbG5gt_A1ILDZmNBnGFoIRwm_oHJDz9/s1600/Using+a+background+stamp+-+3b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="970" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOILb3kkFOvgSu7-d0BAizM6d70EDjxD3XGJ1mDCDasOiRlatHhp0bLM5TrlubwxsVm7b7KIDpL3Xt7t1OXlYiw5KnP7TdoKIDUrw9V2yOMJYcIDbG5gt_A1ILDZmNBnGFoIRwm_oHJDz9/s320/Using+a+background+stamp+-+3b.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This card was again stamped onto an Oxide background but on ordinary none textured card. I stamped with Versafine Black Ink and clear embossed. Really love how this turned out. The stamp is by Imagination Crafts </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAa032qAbh9AR32my-enmqHWYCGj1tE_RYUM45hpzU8mvj5h7yuo2bYk_1V7HhANzqmfZ_wFZPbNd_i5FM2EmZ6AXAD7MgeLW-ZaojDCrvc9CxwrDZ_aRigXZvdS2k11s-yNbn1VXz8E4w/s1600/Using+a+background+stamp+-+4b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="774" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAa032qAbh9AR32my-enmqHWYCGj1tE_RYUM45hpzU8mvj5h7yuo2bYk_1V7HhANzqmfZ_wFZPbNd_i5FM2EmZ6AXAD7MgeLW-ZaojDCrvc9CxwrDZ_aRigXZvdS2k11s-yNbn1VXz8E4w/s320/Using+a+background+stamp+-+4b.jpg" width="310" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another card using the same Imagination Crafts negative stamp but this time I think the background was Oxides with a small amount of PaperArtsy Infusions added on top. I can't be 100% sure as I made it ages ago and it was sent to a friend. However, this time I stamped in Versamark and embossing with Wow Bright White embossing powder. Another fab result!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Okay, now I'm getting somewhere with the backlog, lol! Same time, same place tomorrow!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hugs</div>

<br />
I'm on a roll with my catch ups now as next week is going to be a bit busier, Bank Holiday and school half term with hopefully a visit from Daughter and her three kiddos,f so here's my second share.<br />
<br />
Two more birthday cards and the first one for my eldest brother. I forgot to take proper photos of this card before I sent it off so have to make do with this pic from my phone.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB3RIRV2Tt_3BLP80zSbQVlzAv-8-qjS9bA51n7nMQxvkBwsiRPM1UlVdSqZmSSEmZxxXa34wxW2IPhiGDbHx6ZfcJdZ8Cfkc2Ra7kKYtqp2UnXkvr1j6mOxKI3JDm2sCN59L1yuwpPBtk/s1600/Steve%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="961" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB3RIRV2Tt_3BLP80zSbQVlzAv-8-qjS9bA51n7nMQxvkBwsiRPM1UlVdSqZmSSEmZxxXa34wxW2IPhiGDbHx6ZfcJdZ8Cfkc2Ra7kKYtqp2UnXkvr1j6mOxKI3JDm2sCN59L1yuwpPBtk/s320/Steve%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1b.jpg" width="249" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
As this was created back at the end of January I am guessing at how I did it, lol! I know it was on linen effect card and I think I blended Oxide Inks to create the background then stamped the image (can't remember whose and I have too many wildflower stamps to search through, lol) with Versamark and embossed with Wow Brilliant White embossing powder. The sentiments are definitely from my much used Chocolate Baroque collection.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTIdmY1KTjXv4NCqFdteW8PS4Q7AOV31uXcEeZhCAm8kQaVBybDoixG6lh5yqKygPkDxvIQPydCsdRWF-w7A8-7zjH8JLzBjPGEOf4ZTXHT7MUkEd8StJ0W0GWvXUOF1U8F8BgCZPw_fvT/s1600/Hazel%2527s+birthday+card+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="729" data-original-width="750" height="311" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTIdmY1KTjXv4NCqFdteW8PS4Q7AOV31uXcEeZhCAm8kQaVBybDoixG6lh5yqKygPkDxvIQPydCsdRWF-w7A8-7zjH8JLzBjPGEOf4ZTXHT7MUkEd8StJ0W0GWvXUOF1U8F8BgCZPw_fvT/s320/Hazel%2527s+birthday+card+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This second card was for a crafting friend and the background is water spritzed Oxide Inks picked up from my craftmat. I then stamped with Archival Inks using a variety of stamps but mostly Artemio. I used Polychromos pencils to add colour to the main images and added white pen dots to the cow parsley. I think the butterfly was a Tim Holtz one again coloured with Polychromos.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrK_RwGnkHBML6uXqTQwItaXgf6fNZsLVCBXr3QN4u9g8PpXt2W43YmLh_rvys2I8pSFUavIOs5XbjeGqMPl8N02r4VFyr6D_iIyEW7oVtEhwOmfqIF3f3AA2eI6pCEd1BCt7Sp3ToLW2O/s1600/Hazel%2527s+birthday+card+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrK_RwGnkHBML6uXqTQwItaXgf6fNZsLVCBXr3QN4u9g8PpXt2W43YmLh_rvys2I8pSFUavIOs5XbjeGqMPl8N02r4VFyr6D_iIyEW7oVtEhwOmfqIF3f3AA2eI6pCEd1BCt7Sp3ToLW2O/s320/Hazel%2527s+birthday+card+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
As usual I only attached the body of the butterfly as I like their wings to have a little movement. I also liked the contrast of the bright blues against the background. I used some of my huge stash of designer papers as a co-ordinating matt. I think this is the way I have to go to get some of it used ....it would be a shame for it to go in recycling just for the sake of it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Okey Doke, time to get on with chores 😞....real life is so boring sometimes, lol! I'll be back again tomorrow, till then</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<br />
Despite all my good intentions at the beginning of the year, I have been a dreadful blogger for the past few months. It's not that I haven't made a few things I've just not got round to sharing them in Blogland although I have shared them on Facebook and Instagram. I do like to have them on here as a record for myself though so I'm going to try and catch up a little over the next few posts.<br />
<br />
Today I have a few fairly recent birthday cards to share.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFIkz6eyNMb0Yqe7lLFFQyFrhB8TVeSXhINC8S9TiB2fZzQgEfjHjIsgD2MqieMAISP0dyju1a2ZjgZy4CtlVBsOxQEdDFyhJEOYQqNsd3_t4gF8fvQbL7-tE4_tT22Ks71l6yf1kT3ObT/s1600/John%2527s+birthday+card+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="733" data-original-width="750" height="312" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFIkz6eyNMb0Yqe7lLFFQyFrhB8TVeSXhINC8S9TiB2fZzQgEfjHjIsgD2MqieMAISP0dyju1a2ZjgZy4CtlVBsOxQEdDFyhJEOYQqNsd3_t4gF8fvQbL7-tE4_tT22Ks71l6yf1kT3ObT/s320/John%2527s+birthday+card+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This first card was for my Hubby's recent 70th birthday. I used stamps by Scrapcosy for PaperArtsy. I really love this nautical set and this is a different take on the stamps to the card in my last post.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhfOIcFOTpodk_gZ-4J-jgerb6QQIVPkdFczuSdj0Md4Zb0gDuCWchyphenhyphenZiqq_4eqE7vxtm4HJz1XvBf_AZT0EPoqzDixitNEsKwIxR22-MJh46kEUcPNdyz-mGf1egVJj10z-otEKRJt8Jw/s1600/John%2527s+birthday+card+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhfOIcFOTpodk_gZ-4J-jgerb6QQIVPkdFczuSdj0Md4Zb0gDuCWchyphenhyphenZiqq_4eqE7vxtm4HJz1XvBf_AZT0EPoqzDixitNEsKwIxR22-MJh46kEUcPNdyz-mGf1egVJj10z-otEKRJt8Jw/s320/John%2527s+birthday+card+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The strips were cut from an old background piece I made and I have no idea what inks I used, lol! The stamping and blending around the edges is Distress Oxides and I did a little splattering of water to remove some of the ink on the blending. The compass was a chipboard piece I found in my stash and I covered it with two shades of Seth Apter's Baked Texture embossing powders.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi67Fd45kEj3vNya2mbyeXPXrgjEeJzRiLsqG0ExWbrl6YdHzMMJptlz10JFi55Ux715jgDZXFlefG5DrKN_Z7FYohDDToUYvR61Tm3wEYXAnxMD9EANWj3sti3Ol0kP4gWJd6q1zKlOA5Z/s1600/Don%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="541" data-original-width="750" height="230" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi67Fd45kEj3vNya2mbyeXPXrgjEeJzRiLsqG0ExWbrl6YdHzMMJptlz10JFi55Ux715jgDZXFlefG5DrKN_Z7FYohDDToUYvR61Tm3wEYXAnxMD9EANWj3sti3Ol0kP4gWJd6q1zKlOA5Z/s320/Don%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This second card was for one of my brothers. Again I cut strips of cards from a really old background I created. I think this might have been done with the old Moonglow Inks I bought from The Stampman when I first started crafting . </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmTLpclfX5M6hLKVBVhi_Qd6qUvIH4yebnyYQiS923bpzGcYESdKmvQXCsWiWLXZtNK0vRy4v2V6jeoVQLDLt4Qq2aqUv8Fb3iMmGRPPYAQXNvFwrdd8i44G7hrUDlTImBgjWfpb-7lOVd/s1600/Don%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmTLpclfX5M6hLKVBVhi_Qd6qUvIH4yebnyYQiS923bpzGcYESdKmvQXCsWiWLXZtNK0vRy4v2V6jeoVQLDLt4Qq2aqUv8Fb3iMmGRPPYAQXNvFwrdd8i44G7hrUDlTImBgjWfpb-7lOVd/s320/Don%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The 'starry' looking lazer cut piece is
by Scrapiniec and I dabbed it with two different coloured inks then
Versamark and heat embossed with clear ep. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My final card for today was for my Son-in-Law. I stamped the vintage car which is from a favourite Chocolate Baroque set called Eccentric Edwardian (I think). It's one of the first sets I ever bought from them back in the days when they went under the Elusive Images banner and I find it a mega useful set for mens cards. Anyway, I stamped and clear embossed the car and stamped again onto masking paper. I masked the car then added the stencilling using oxide Ink.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhODFP66BlnDqyRyMZKLZGVMPaDmlotBw_bSSqKvqbiQn_GhEz5jVyIHOWb_T2sxAqg1NTuuY9rnM2OQUCtPUTcbaOle9wtS453mCIhqFKURvQh7mPdL-9GPGIRvBPI-8i8OAojW_qQ1LcK/s1600/Tony%2527s+birthday+card+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhODFP66BlnDqyRyMZKLZGVMPaDmlotBw_bSSqKvqbiQn_GhEz5jVyIHOWb_T2sxAqg1NTuuY9rnM2OQUCtPUTcbaOle9wtS453mCIhqFKURvQh7mPdL-9GPGIRvBPI-8i8OAojW_qQ1LcK/s320/Tony%2527s+birthday+card+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also used the Oxide Ink to add a little colour to the car as well as a bit of shadowing near the wheels. A few strips of Tim Holtz tissue tape and stamped sentiments and that was it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So that's it for today and hopefully I can catch up with another multiple post in a day or two.</div>

<br />
It's been a while, lol! Mostly because for some weeks Mr Blogger was not playing nice and would not let me post anything and I couldn't be bothered to try and sort it out. Finally it has come right all by itself but it's a good job I have given up DT work or I would have been in a right old panic, lol!<br />
<br />
Anyway, having been very lax with entries to the <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2018/04/2018-topic-7-kraft-card-intro-and.html">PaperArtsy Blog Challenge</a>, Darcy brought it to our attention on FB today that it was final day for entries to the current challenge of 'Kraft' so at the nth hour I decided to have a bash at making a card and here it is.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy80hyphenhyphenoE6I_Lx8KT4lngylU4e86kb64qNBxky3BSReZMKtuwrXFc4DMtlbDxx79vZl_Jztxc5-yVNgC-5zOVUGQbYzGQghJFevCAVV3ElJ9Gq8I0HnyxI9tAY2XUYKH29kgr1dBZ9vmnPt/s1600/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Kraft+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="748" data-original-width="750" height="319" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy80hyphenhyphenoE6I_Lx8KT4lngylU4e86kb64qNBxky3BSReZMKtuwrXFc4DMtlbDxx79vZl_Jztxc5-yVNgC-5zOVUGQbYzGQghJFevCAVV3ElJ9Gq8I0HnyxI9tAY2XUYKH29kgr1dBZ9vmnPt/s320/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Kraft+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All the stamped images are from the stunning nautical set by Scrapcosy for PaperArtsy and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I kept to shades of brown using Oxide Ink for the bottom image as I wanted a misty kind of look to it and then Potting Soil Archival for the beautiful sailing ship which I clear embossed to make it stand out. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRlZID05shdUkzG5Igesc3BrUKrE5jjXeVMoWlsIUjKfN-jZgOVkvqQDh5VHW7bNatsvGgJP9coU6rkZhwLzqPKDLPF1Zhokj6uhYJXxxlCydkodD3GaBdGWZvGSJcIS40z7CeXHYFqFVG/s1600/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Kraft+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRlZID05shdUkzG5Igesc3BrUKrE5jjXeVMoWlsIUjKfN-jZgOVkvqQDh5VHW7bNatsvGgJP9coU6rkZhwLzqPKDLPF1Zhokj6uhYJXxxlCydkodD3GaBdGWZvGSJcIS40z7CeXHYFqFVG/s320/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Kraft+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
In the background I stamped the gorgeous script using Versamagic Cloud White. I inked the edges and then added the Tim Holtz tape. I stamped the quote from one of Alison Bomber's sets onto the reverse side of a scrap of Kraft card to give a slightly different shade and cut it up to add to the card. I layered it to my base card on some fine corrugated card I had in my stash and that's it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Yikes, 5 minutes to link up.....see Ya!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<br />
It's a bit windy out again today and although the sun keeps trying to make an appearance the clouds are winning for the moment. At least the temperature has risen to double figures for a day or two but typically set to drop again for the Easter hols 😒.<br />
<br />
Anyway, today I'm sharing a card I actually created over a month ago, ready in plenty of time for our Son's 40th birthday which was on Wednesday. I'm beginning to think our Royal Mail has a big cheek putting postage charges up next week as just recently I and a few others have not received the service we paid for. I think it's time they did away with 'first class' as they are taking several days to deliver even when this is paid for and I was really disappointed this card did not reach it's destination till after the birthday date. Oh well, moan over for now, lol. I was very chuffed with the card itself and I think Jamie liked it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhugRCX3PG6o_E1Xd_Qv6WZJFVy3b3TbPYvLryCT5SR5rX6pj7N2p5muGV2MHcWm-zwTpV2txMgKNhZnOFohpWCpmm2ipJGz1qNbzmYqwpHCM5Cq8TOkVmK4xhyphenhyphenxK69M7ju7pVPzFctdyFi/s1600/Jamie%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="730" data-original-width="750" height="311" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhugRCX3PG6o_E1Xd_Qv6WZJFVy3b3TbPYvLryCT5SR5rX6pj7N2p5muGV2MHcWm-zwTpV2txMgKNhZnOFohpWCpmm2ipJGz1qNbzmYqwpHCM5Cq8TOkVmK4xhyphenhyphenxK69M7ju7pVPzFctdyFi/s320/Jamie%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started by sticking torn bookpages to various areas of an 18cm square piece of card, then roughly brayered Fresco Finish acrylic paints in different shades of grey. I followed this with some stencilling of the brickwork and stamped some wording using Shadow Grey Archival Ink. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYE_G_m1rnyQA85RAgbfdqENU3a9RHP9k_3H3QIEyCGrs2K0r_2itX1U0raNWtxnu_IGvTE7foxSl-eWFN9cnvoLCGvQHHEzuXnWtaBaPioTrdP699U7KxeDKENVsR4C7v9pDnLreTRMBm/s1600/Jamie%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYE_G_m1rnyQA85RAgbfdqENU3a9RHP9k_3H3QIEyCGrs2K0r_2itX1U0raNWtxnu_IGvTE7foxSl-eWFN9cnvoLCGvQHHEzuXnWtaBaPioTrdP699U7KxeDKENVsR4C7v9pDnLreTRMBm/s320/Jamie%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the fab Bee Crafty Banksy style image using Black Archival before finally adding some Smalltalk Stickers and a phrase stamped separately and cut out.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As Jamie is an artist/tutor himself and has done a lot of graffiti style artwork I thought this card was particularly apt. We are looking forward to a meal with close family and friends on Sunday and are hoping the weather behaves this time as it had to be cancelled due to the snow storms last weekend.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I might be back again tomorrow but if not have a good weekend everyone.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<br />
Good Morning everyone,<br />
<br />
I am hoping you have started the day with better weather than we have here. It's been absolutely tipping it down but stopped for now. More expected late afternoon but I intend crafting so that's ok, lol!<br />
<br />
I seem to be having an accidental run on pink at the moment which I'm sure everyone knows is not my favourite colour.....and that is an understatement! However, when the latest Distress Oxide Ink releases arrived I had to put the colours through their paces and I did like this dusky background I got so it had to be used. Now the card has been received I can share it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW8ihHot31AizvW4to3AzpUazawYQCUA3yimN2uH1cvK8-zM9DAnFiTuaTLyT0HauKaoSZkfEJrYkDRmz5EonQ5-LNfwyBpmA0LIUWgiAplLzap5VTPMNG49dH_HadpY6r59QSM4wm1kfB/s1600/Kirsten%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="735" data-original-width="750" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW8ihHot31AizvW4to3AzpUazawYQCUA3yimN2uH1cvK8-zM9DAnFiTuaTLyT0HauKaoSZkfEJrYkDRmz5EonQ5-LNfwyBpmA0LIUWgiAplLzap5VTPMNG49dH_HadpY6r59QSM4wm1kfB/s320/Kirsten%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I thought the background was perfect for using Raquel Burillo's (aka Scrapcosy) stamp set <a href="https://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/eclectica-scrapcosy-04-7209-p.asp">ESC04</a> for PaperArtsy. I used Aged Mahogany Oxide to do the stamping with the script stamp in the background and the roses stamped and heat embossed. I then added some subtle highlighting with white pencil to the roses and green to the leaves. I did a little stencilling with white Versamagic through <a href="https://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/036-pa-stencil-by-kim-dellow-6876-p.asp">Kim Dellow</a>'s stencil for PaperArtsy.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnIchwPhY8c52SE0tg-V9DNTBh4M2_9HcK5651lTIAYtB-hTR2MOIVznC84-ZBsA-MqCCI7x2RJ7UehvrFeVHZhFoqYU7fGdish_BuzFBpEmEI7ApKHdV51Oy8mn3HV4g0vMN64Xg3zAuN/s1600/Kirsten%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnIchwPhY8c52SE0tg-V9DNTBh4M2_9HcK5651lTIAYtB-hTR2MOIVznC84-ZBsA-MqCCI7x2RJ7UehvrFeVHZhFoqYU7fGdish_BuzFBpEmEI7ApKHdV51Oy8mn3HV4g0vMN64Xg3zAuN/s320/Kirsten%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found the pretty chipboard frame and lightly stamped it with the script stamp and stuck it to the card and stamped the butterfly onto a background scrap to add to the centre of the frame. A small sentiment and a few pretty pearls and the card was finished. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I must admit this kind of pink I do like, lol, and I loved it teamed with Raquel's stamps.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Have a lovely weekend everyone and see you again soon.</div>

<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
Hello everyone,<br />
<br />
Well the past couple of weeks have been mostly pretty miserable as I picked up one of the nasty viruses going around at the moment. The main symptom has been an horrendous cough which made me rather noisy and unpleasant to be around. My stomach and rib muscles feel as though I've been kicked by a mule but they should have had a good workout, lol! I'm coming out the other side now though and at least I was poorly whilst the weather here has been unfit to go out in. We were quite badly affected by the snow and ice and being a bit old and decrepit, I wouldn't have been venturing far had I been fit 😉.<br />
<br />
Before the bad weather blew in though I managed to collect my 10 yr old granddaughter Izzy for a long promised weekend of crafting, just the two of us (no little brothers demanding our attention, lol) and just as The Cough kicked in big time. Izzy was very patient with my constant coughing fits and I'm so glad she doesn't appear to have caught the bug. I introduced her to stencilling various texture pastes onto large MDF hearts. It was lovely to see her delight when the crackle paste crackled before her eyes, lol! We made loads of backgrounds with my favourite Oxide Inks and the highlight was making some pendants with Ice Resin, a product I have had in my stash literally for years but have never plucked up courage to use. Izzy went home with a bag full of her creations and a proud smile on her face. Sorry the pics aren't brilliant but they were taken quickly on my phone.<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Just about the only thing I have done this week is a project for the prompt challenge with my friends. The latest prompt was to use tissue and I decorated a canvas board to come up with this.......</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfGcDTzahDBYB-g31axZbEustnRsbF5L5NuBYrLNdsnBDIXHAU_CFDPUQaMnA7EhXlqEp0lnwoepmo5iyDE8HOgUDpTeo3SKVsrQMFjF3F7LUi9hoVhbIzaN29EUcMUblfi0whpUTeZXFd/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="682" data-original-width="750" height="290" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfGcDTzahDBYB-g31axZbEustnRsbF5L5NuBYrLNdsnBDIXHAU_CFDPUQaMnA7EhXlqEp0lnwoepmo5iyDE8HOgUDpTeo3SKVsrQMFjF3F7LUi9hoVhbIzaN29EUcMUblfi0whpUTeZXFd/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
......and that's where the pink comes in, purely by accident as it's definitely not my favourite colour, lol! </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPEAsN6ZJsYb5ON9umhDxIAVFGCnOpGKtOdaJP0LVLHc9Bs_-VFTCVXfw3t5kRRTlwMaKGhBT62xE07lNyV0ZbZ6PSrL5PoGhRM1azTw_rWpkfR5pS83ra1nj2eNWlcHZIHlhcH8dZOoTh/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPEAsN6ZJsYb5ON9umhDxIAVFGCnOpGKtOdaJP0LVLHc9Bs_-VFTCVXfw3t5kRRTlwMaKGhBT62xE07lNyV0ZbZ6PSrL5PoGhRM1azTw_rWpkfR5pS83ra1nj2eNWlcHZIHlhcH8dZOoTh/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started by covering an 8" x 8" canvas board with white gesso and then lightly blended some Portfolios to dull down the white. I took a piece of Tim Holtz tissue and applied alcohol inks over the back blending them together with the Ranger Blending Solution. Unfortunately the pink shade became the dominant one which I really didn't want.....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
.....and once I adhered it to the board using Golden Soft Matte Gel it went an even brighter pink, argh!!! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCuQGbtfk_drTONjlfSKGdxIhdng-bYQtBYH31l68p4W3mnENcUU-UA9s2cRwrjyAQoBviOUO_g7hgdvh8K1mkfDp5afiVhocKw-7sNBB-bmUEeENObFwlu3y3MC5tGZ_BEVt8MdPKAZaJ/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+4b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCuQGbtfk_drTONjlfSKGdxIhdng-bYQtBYH31l68p4W3mnENcUU-UA9s2cRwrjyAQoBviOUO_g7hgdvh8K1mkfDp5afiVhocKw-7sNBB-bmUEeENObFwlu3y3MC5tGZ_BEVt8MdPKAZaJ/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+4b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, I set about taking the accent off the pink by giving it a wash of white gesso, which also helped to enhance the crinkles in the tissue, followed by some stencilled Prima (Finnabair) opaque texture paste and then Watering Can Archival Ink through a Tim Holtz stencil. I applied some paint and Treasure Gold guilding wax to some Prima embellishments and chose a selection of flowers, lace, chipboard and other bits from my stash to collage onto the board. I also picked out the texture on the board with the Treasure Gold.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm really pleased to finally be digging out bits and pieces I've had in my stash for years and using it instead of hoarding it, lol! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
A close up of the pretty 'water feature', little bird and the delicate Scrapiniec trailing ivy. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIsr38Vwpartoh6Xhpsqvj3DzUKk0hAHb1KhGy7XwVW5Oe6KzeOz1yQ3TgfdJGf_Q84bsD-biytRFneJLsw-wGbOuLs5YzlIdz41iqwKKF73bdA1gTqYSNGOcoC2yHUSuwq2qnEJGn6YET/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+7b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIsr38Vwpartoh6Xhpsqvj3DzUKk0hAHb1KhGy7XwVW5Oe6KzeOz1yQ3TgfdJGf_Q84bsD-biytRFneJLsw-wGbOuLs5YzlIdz41iqwKKF73bdA1gTqYSNGOcoC2yHUSuwq2qnEJGn6YET/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+7b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another beautiful Prima metal embellishment I thought was too precious to use! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqeo6gdz9apfrlA5AwbNmZgkuPpzxdKYBt_3m3fzZq2inURQQar2HXE7RkpjcPiavKzZPneHBmTY1CbX7uh83VAkfuH0ulIDZtFdjFoGf5F7kpHG0wHAbbnGlqKVd0zRPNBcht1P3biA_0/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+8b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqeo6gdz9apfrlA5AwbNmZgkuPpzxdKYBt_3m3fzZq2inURQQar2HXE7RkpjcPiavKzZPneHBmTY1CbX7uh83VAkfuH0ulIDZtFdjFoGf5F7kpHG0wHAbbnGlqKVd0zRPNBcht1P3biA_0/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25237+-+Tissue+-+8b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And finally I decided at the last minute to add a little Prima (Finnabair again) Graphite paste through a stencil. Don't forget you can click the pics to see the texture and light guilding on the background in greater detail.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Well, I have to say that by the time I finished this piece the pink had almost grown on me and I was actually happy with the end result. I really enjoyed the collaging which I find quite difficult as I don't normally do so 'busy'. I had intended finishing off with sprays over the flowers but I decided I liked the different creamy whites as they are although I may go back in and add a little shadowing round the embellishments before I call it finished. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
That's it for today. I'll be back soon with a birthday card which I can share later in the week and I hope you all have an easier time getting out and about this week.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<br />
I hope the week is treating you all kindly. Today I have a tag to share which I made for this month's UK Stampers Forum swap on FB. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCS4DA_PSmmSm8BqkexA66mPzPTMmlfMyMzVaYjist0CDZrN-jjDcxZCNi0x5SeKfXmVYRsOxj2eGquYWgryACuPnROzalsV-icjBBlQCZocTqa6Znh9M-HHS39fGSZq8QJKTJuziylLmM/s1600/UK+Stampers+Forum+Tag+Swap+-+February+-+1a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="739" data-original-width="750" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCS4DA_PSmmSm8BqkexA66mPzPTMmlfMyMzVaYjist0CDZrN-jjDcxZCNi0x5SeKfXmVYRsOxj2eGquYWgryACuPnROzalsV-icjBBlQCZocTqa6Znh9M-HHS39fGSZq8QJKTJuziylLmM/s320/UK+Stampers+Forum+Tag+Swap+-+February+-+1a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd already created the background when I was trying to get my bottle of Goosebumps texture spray to work. I'd managed to unclog the spring in the top but the nozzle still wouldn't 'spray' and instead spat out big blobs of the liquid so I tipped the tag to let the blobs run. This created a resist over which I blended Distress Oxides. I then did a little stencilling using Oxides again and finally some stamped images from Chocolate Baroque both top and bottom. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfnpv30vtXypdGxokTW-Wg__dsDMlLhvvYi9oCq2rgbXyujmnYdA9cia6CiFwl1oW-3dZpYcGEM2ho28ddPDvCyOOGzrzpyJn73S0hh_sNu41w8RBtDnFsYNh1OS8ANa2Y6wPBOoRScwMN/s1600/UK+Stampers+Forum+Tag+Swap+-+February+-+2a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfnpv30vtXypdGxokTW-Wg__dsDMlLhvvYi9oCq2rgbXyujmnYdA9cia6CiFwl1oW-3dZpYcGEM2ho28ddPDvCyOOGzrzpyJn73S0hh_sNu41w8RBtDnFsYNh1OS8ANa2Y6wPBOoRScwMN/s320/UK+Stampers+Forum+Tag+Swap+-+February+-+2a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The gorgeous lizard is from a totally new set of stamps called Creepers and Crawlers from Illusionary Artists (France Papillon design and manufactured by Chocolate Baroque). I stamped it onto some tissue using a couple of different Archival inkpads and tore round the image before applying it to the tag with Golden Matte Gel Medium. Now, I have no idea where the tissue came from but am sure it was wrapping I saved from something and it turns out it was really strong and quite thick so when I stuck it on the tag it didn't blend into the background too well. I ended up quite liking the effect as it reminded me of when you stand on wet sand and the water squeezes out around your feet so my little lizard is in his own little puddle on a hot sandy beach, lol! The words are from another new set from France Papillon too.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
See you again in a day or two.</div>

<br />
I've got a little out of order with posting various makes because of making cards which I can't share at the time due to the recipient not having received the card and then I forget,lol, so I've a couple of cards from January for you today.<br />
<br />
The first one unusually for me has no stamping except for the sentiment and the butterfly. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_R9i1oA6ArDffvPxgL9L9CPNVy9ofmoehZ6L6uDMA1yHyBgsenDdH5p_SzpS01TQMW6eHPJUEK5BJutz6e9LGLJQKNwH9FpUMOc7YcRYTG80nUQc5Gt0HVzVL9Y4G00IMPQZtHJPMEN2w/s1600/Emma%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="604" data-original-width="750" height="257" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_R9i1oA6ArDffvPxgL9L9CPNVy9ofmoehZ6L6uDMA1yHyBgsenDdH5p_SzpS01TQMW6eHPJUEK5BJutz6e9LGLJQKNwH9FpUMOc7YcRYTG80nUQc5Gt0HVzVL9Y4G00IMPQZtHJPMEN2w/s320/Emma%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
As people who know me are aware, I rarely do anything with glitter and to be honest this is no exception but.......I cheated! I used one of Tim Holtz lovely dies to cut the flourish for the top layer of this card and underlaid it with some really pretty sticky backed, glittered acetate. I've had it for years and had forgotten how nice it is to have a gorgeous glitter effect and not one single sparkle where there shouldn't be one!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxNhbhWMsq-7fLwyUbKD1r6DfoYyp6NExRlStqFO71hbX2HWJWZj_KEM2eBgdVb0SQ5LbFB_AOgcXZ69JNvbaGoiJ6dtkftP757zAGZZqfcwwc1LkjoBOojBzOp3aH5sflPC-c2lT9O9qV/s1600/Emma%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="551" data-original-width="750" height="235" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxNhbhWMsq-7fLwyUbKD1r6DfoYyp6NExRlStqFO71hbX2HWJWZj_KEM2eBgdVb0SQ5LbFB_AOgcXZ69JNvbaGoiJ6dtkftP757zAGZZqfcwwc1LkjoBOojBzOp3aH5sflPC-c2lT9O9qV/s320/Emma%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The butterfly is from Tim Holtz stamp set and after colouring it to co-ordinate I covered it with a sparkle pen. Such a pretty effect and again no mess 😄 I was really pleased with this simple but effective card.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My second card relies more on stamping.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQugFxjGH3Yp3wsP2-m-vs8L0YSqPS7IP4WtehpVvSbAzG-VBnyDKMm7OoyL1dIgk-nln-PQIvt3qHOGibcz6b9gEMZlQ78oDEROb1lcjZb0DQdSj7GlCblH0_hd86TIe_6fU0ps3xI_Ly/s1600/Lin%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="738" data-original-width="750" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQugFxjGH3Yp3wsP2-m-vs8L0YSqPS7IP4WtehpVvSbAzG-VBnyDKMm7OoyL1dIgk-nln-PQIvt3qHOGibcz6b9gEMZlQ78oDEROb1lcjZb0DQdSj7GlCblH0_hd86TIe_6fU0ps3xI_Ly/s320/Lin%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created the background at an Infusions class last year and used one of the gorgeous Penny Black Brushstrokes stamps over the top. I'm not sure now if I used black Archival or Versafine. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj-WIRO-L_Y1R78m78Gk5AfWm_j-0vYAgW0aLJ8IGaIo2T1K0tAjUXTvjbs1JQgv9PxMZsrYgkmy9dy2jHzlbqREovB70sg5c4mJPSgU_vKSfRtxxTv5rm3nbUKxDUJwqRrV40EBa_wVqb/s1600/Lin%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj-WIRO-L_Y1R78m78Gk5AfWm_j-0vYAgW0aLJ8IGaIo2T1K0tAjUXTvjbs1JQgv9PxMZsrYgkmy9dy2jHzlbqREovB70sg5c4mJPSgU_vKSfRtxxTv5rm3nbUKxDUJwqRrV40EBa_wVqb/s320/Lin%2527s+Birthday+Card+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then added gold foiling to various parts of the image and the edges of the card. I found it difficult to get a true photo of this card because the light reflecting on the foiling made it much more 'in your face' that in real life I think. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
That's all for me today. I hope those of you at work have a good start to your week and I'll be back soon.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<br />
It's a proper miserable day here and everywhere is sodden with rain. Such a shame after yesterday's very cold but bright sunny day. It's a good day to stay in and craft though, lol!<br />
<br />
As I said in my last post I jumped ahead to share scrap page so today I'm going to share my #2 prompt make which was a tag together with another tag I made just for fun with some exciting new stamps from a new collaboration.<br />
<br />
The prompt for #2 was 'Wings' and I have a ton of stuff I could have used, from wooden wings, metal, rusted metal, stamps by the hundred and all shapes and sizes but I was a bit busy and that week and didn't look at it until the eleventh hour and ended up making a tag where the wings definitely didn't take centre stage. It was a fun make though! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvVJwD4s09l8oqWhqwzQe15QxMJ9jA3jijxpzupzdnudshWQJY4fr4OP-PUrGsialod5qYAg80rpOkcEwIDZtl7BZ4-uCI9MdXkssTnD96B-2L1YX-CLS9zJQfarTG0P0_aWq35BIk50EL/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25232+-+Wings+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1293" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvVJwD4s09l8oqWhqwzQe15QxMJ9jA3jijxpzupzdnudshWQJY4fr4OP-PUrGsialod5qYAg80rpOkcEwIDZtl7BZ4-uCI9MdXkssTnD96B-2L1YX-CLS9zJQfarTG0P0_aWq35BIk50EL/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25232+-+Wings+-+1b.jpg" width="185" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I blended my beloved Oxide Inks on the background then stamped the Dylusions girl onto the tag and again onto some pieces of different 7 Dots Studio papers that were out on my workdesk. I did a little pencil colouring where necessary, as on her face but I ought to have gone over it again tbh as I did it in artificial light so for fear of adding too much colour I actually left her rather pale....it's all this rain, she needs some sun! I then stamped the circles and border along the bottom....both Dylusions stamps</div>
<br />

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also stamped the wings part of the girl several times onto the dp and then cut everything out and paper pieced it all over the image. I added some Glossy Accents to some of the circles and stuck the spare wings into it and then added a few touches of white highlights ....once the accents were dry, lol! I doubled up with this tag by using it as my swap tag in UK Stampers Forum on FB. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My second tag share was created using some gorgeous new stamps from a collaboration between France Papillon and Andy Skinner. They have collaborated to form Illusionary Artists and their stamps are being manufactured by one of my very favourite companies, Chocolate Baroque. You can order the stamps from <a href="http://www.chocolatebaroque.com/category-220.html">CB (which is where I got mine)</a>, France or Andy. I've only bought France's designs so far because I will use them more but Andy's are fabulous too. Very different genre for CB and well worth a look. This tag is all I've had time to play with so far but itching to use the lovely lizards on the Creepers and Crawlers set.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7qGFoU2aa104jqWr37HpJ7QHEIDa81fl3MY73azJpdDkjTZokuHQsPgapREPje7TExl6XHblacAGuxAMjQGf9pCTXF3qgB7UtcueC_aI01HnPqHbaN6tnWYawvTdIII4713HvRpIOab-n/s1600/Tag+for+fun+with+France+Papillon+stamps+%2528by+CB%2529+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1328" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7qGFoU2aa104jqWr37HpJ7QHEIDa81fl3MY73azJpdDkjTZokuHQsPgapREPje7TExl6XHblacAGuxAMjQGf9pCTXF3qgB7UtcueC_aI01HnPqHbaN6tnWYawvTdIII4713HvRpIOab-n/s320/Tag+for+fun+with+France+Papillon+stamps+%2528by+CB%2529+-+1b.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
After watching a video of Tim Holtz demoing his 'new' texture spray at the Creativation trade show a couple of weeks ago I remembered some texture spray I bought years ago made by Tsukineko, called Goosebumps. Apart from a tentative squirt I had never used this spray because back then I hadn't discovered mixed media and had no idea what to do with it. I dug it out from the back of the cupboard fully expecting it to have solidified but Yay! it hadn't. The nozzle was a bit bunged up and after much soaking in hot water it still came out in blobs which gave me a fab effect when I let it run but I decanted some into another spray bottle and it worked perfectly. I'm pretty sure with the same results as Tim's too so that's saved me a bit of money, lol!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anyway, I sprayed a little of the Goosebumps onto my tag, let it dry and then blended various Distress Oxides over the top before polishing it off with a paper towel to reveal the resist. I then used Watering Can Archival ink to lightly stamp one of France's text stamps from London New York set, followed by stamping the moth/butterfly from Creepers and Crawlers using the same Oxides as the background.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdgUee3TA5ngRexJr2SuTEwI212IpoIJlnP7eiFsOUihAzaIz-uSJcTDJ7-XFoPgAR7hDm4Hpc19tpST8Z3ILfKPO97KDjH5Lm0P-cxhBOQWuegcdli1MoYGfopZ1Y6GffcJyRmeNhtzwH/s1600/Tag+for+fun+with+France+Papillon+stamps+%2528by+CB%2529+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdgUee3TA5ngRexJr2SuTEwI212IpoIJlnP7eiFsOUihAzaIz-uSJcTDJ7-XFoPgAR7hDm4Hpc19tpST8Z3ILfKPO97KDjH5Lm0P-cxhBOQWuegcdli1MoYGfopZ1Y6GffcJyRmeNhtzwH/s320/Tag+for+fun+with+France+Papillon+stamps+%2528by+CB%2529+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then stamped the moth onto separate card and coloured it with co-ordinating pencils, cut it out and added it to the tag. The words come from another France set, Perfect Words! Really love this pretty tag as it reminds me it can't be too long to Spring......can it?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sorry to have waffled a bit about the Goosebumps but it just might remind a few folk they have a bottle lurking in a drawer or cupboard 😄. That's it from me for today. Have a fab weekend everyone and see you again soon.</div>

<br />
Once again I've got behind with blogging....and I vowed to be better this year...Oh well! 😉<br />
<br />
I'm going to go out of sync with my projects today because I am going to share my #3 project made for the prompt challenge with my friends when I know I haven't shared #2 yet. This is because I am sooooo happy to have finished today's share.....it's only taken me nearly 7 years, lol, and it needs a post all of its own as it will be a bit photo heavy. I'll share project #2 and a few other things I've done in a day or two.<br />
<br />
The prompt for #3 was People/Photos. I decided it was the perfect opportunity to create the scrap layout I started to plan for a favourite photo of our two beautiful granddaughters Alexa and Izzy about 6 years ago. The photo was taken at our daughter's wedding 7 years ago this coming May when they were both 3 years old. Izzy was 10 last December and Alexa will be 10 in March....where do the years go?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I don't have any step by step pics as I got carried away as usual and forgot to take any. I used some gorgeous papers from 7 Dots Studio designed by Finnabair as well as lots of her mechanicals metal pieces and yet more from my stash. There's some distressing and inking to the paper edges and a little stamping in the background.</div>
<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Alexa on the left and Izzy on the right....just love their cute body language!</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of the things I learned from a Finn class was to use border punches just on small sections and I thought the butterfly one was very approriate. I also used a little flower one.</div>
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Collaged paper pieces, strips and other elements from the same paper collection. There are also a couple of lovely flourishes from Scrapinek that I heat embossed. Doubly pleased I am using my stash more and not just my stamps and colouring mediums.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The main arrangement of embellishments. I used a fair amount of Treasure Gold to highlight everything and confess I chickened out at using sprays. I was pleased with it as it was and didn't want to risk spoiling all that hard work squirting ink in the wrong place, lol! Maybe next time 😉 </div>

<br />
A little group of friends and I decided last year was a very poor year for our creative endeavours so we decided to have our own private little challenge this year with a prompt each week to kick us off. Not sure how long we will manage to keep it up before life gets in the way and we can opt out of the odd week if we don't like a particular prompt (drawn out of a 'hat') but I've really enjoyed this first one where the prompt was 'FRAMES' to be interpreted in any way we chose.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
I decided to decorate a large MDF tag (5.5" x 10")...I am determined to use up more of my unloved stash this year and this has been a very good start! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
First I covered it with a lovely designer paper I have been hoarding for several years. Its from a pad I created our Daughter's Wedding stationery from 7 yrs ago. I added some stencilling using Distress Inks and some light stamping using Versafine Inks (second generation) and PaperArtsy Mini stamps. For once I remembered to ink round the edges before I stuck everything on. My usual trick is to forget till the very end which is sooo tedious, lol! I then found the perfect use for one of my Tim Holtz Botanicals 😄</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhknkeykU3GX3GH9KYUnGMUmGNswC-V5Xe0TgtsR1iWP1B9FJgbBBKB-WFr8eO3RXSXMC7sivJ-NmZ8j7rEbwdjxiErgIV9sXKU9ik6z5J2xCq-_sgVtldFShT3MBzx89PSn28gGRj_ZXMp/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+3b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhknkeykU3GX3GH9KYUnGMUmGNswC-V5Xe0TgtsR1iWP1B9FJgbBBKB-WFr8eO3RXSXMC7sivJ-NmZ8j7rEbwdjxiErgIV9sXKU9ik6z5J2xCq-_sgVtldFShT3MBzx89PSn28gGRj_ZXMp/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+3b.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the various stages I did to cover my lovely frames </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
which I have also had in my wood and chipboard embellishments for an age. Both were from the Basics range at Hobbycraft. Click on the pic for a better look but I was really chuffed with the way they turned out. I used a couple of coats of DecoArt White Tinting Base followed by their crackle medium (can't remember which one, lol) and finally their Antiquing Cream, first a brown one rubbed back with a wetwipe, then the same with grey. I backed both frames with co-ordinating paper (from the same pad) having first stuck the TH Paper Doll image to the larger piece. I added a very light hint of colour to some areas of the image and added the butterflies which are also from the Botanicals.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWT4_a2Wcv1-_MbwHDKscnXc_MZYFwmKgu5aH4rx41Ex6xE-VqAQMrvbixG3fYKfUXoiIh6uJ_sABlyCRpaW-75xr8mpmNqKibK4aSk9AFc1EW_JGUDugc-j8VPb5es8_8rvc0KNRVhGmw/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+4b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWT4_a2Wcv1-_MbwHDKscnXc_MZYFwmKgu5aH4rx41Ex6xE-VqAQMrvbixG3fYKfUXoiIh6uJ_sABlyCRpaW-75xr8mpmNqKibK4aSk9AFc1EW_JGUDugc-j8VPb5es8_8rvc0KNRVhGmw/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+4b.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Before I stuck the frames to the tag I added some shadowing down one side of the flower with a carbon pencil then raided my stash for suitable flowers and flourishes. I think the flowers were old Prima designs and the flourishes were from Ally Pally last year from a company I had never come across before miszmaszpapierowy.com.pl. They had some beautiful designs but they are extremely delicate and cut from a thickish paper product so I knew they wouldn't take much wet medium like sprays so instead I used PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints to colour them. I then stuck the frames and other elements down with Heavy Gloss Gel Medium. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzM936JenwZ9o88LfTHyfbK4UyKW45lycxF8WAl3z47jSZKGMVsvOlY-pb_-xxpCVTRZqhrIFUUruXyu4kBrwPjM7Qt-kRF6zihHPdCMWRUNO-UsNnZapC2Z9-tpsHooCn8_Txo2IpZb23/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+5b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzM936JenwZ9o88LfTHyfbK4UyKW45lycxF8WAl3z47jSZKGMVsvOlY-pb_-xxpCVTRZqhrIFUUruXyu4kBrwPjM7Qt-kRF6zihHPdCMWRUNO-UsNnZapC2Z9-tpsHooCn8_Txo2IpZb23/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+5b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then rooted around for a suitable quote and found this one on a Wendy Vecchi set (another sadly neglected item in my collection). I stamped it twice on a scrap of the background paper with grey Archival Ink, cut it up and inked the edges before sticking it to the tag.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUewHBNC35Jit_nTWdzPqHFVdPiYXw06oxwSJyyqI-RkYLehMPUMpEKCFrNLgYmiccZg_OR_8tb6ol-P3L_Hps47RDV66XFvf0mTRzy7bGAmWJVMDgKjkvZyyU-qUS23sA69QyLBH4Q79x/s1600/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+6b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUewHBNC35Jit_nTWdzPqHFVdPiYXw06oxwSJyyqI-RkYLehMPUMpEKCFrNLgYmiccZg_OR_8tb6ol-P3L_Hps47RDV66XFvf0mTRzy7bGAmWJVMDgKjkvZyyU-qUS23sA69QyLBH4Q79x/s320/Book+Group+Project+%25231+-+Frames+-+6b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A final look at the dimension on the bottom of the tag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love watching Marta Lapkowska's YouTube videos (<a href="https://www.facebook.com/MaremisSmallArt/">Maremi's Small Art</a>) while I am crafting and there's quite a bit of inspiration from her in this tag not least of which is to 'USE YOUR STASH'!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Well, that's it for today! I hope you like my tag and I'm now wondering what our prompt will be for this coming week. I'm scheduling this post so we'll find out the next when this goes live just after 1:00 pm today 😀. See you again soon!</div>

<br />
Right here we go with my first proper blog post for this year. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQF6_Adt8dCsL5DXymP6YZsdCyjsn7cTRiU1Lf9zC16OGu8Y86ixhZqr1ZqnUpK6GejH1pBh5wXf_t1umTylp7_cOb1Cam0ILGymcnUIaMw1eI4mCp-z0Sc1aqDrCgHyaumIGGuBVqbX3k/s1600/First+Birthday+card+design+of+the+year+-+1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="739" data-original-width="750" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQF6_Adt8dCsL5DXymP6YZsdCyjsn7cTRiU1Lf9zC16OGu8Y86ixhZqr1ZqnUpK6GejH1pBh5wXf_t1umTylp7_cOb1Cam0ILGymcnUIaMw1eI4mCp-z0Sc1aqDrCgHyaumIGGuBVqbX3k/s320/First+Birthday+card+design+of+the+year+-+1b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is my first birthday card design of the year. I had two birthdays very close together in the past week so I made the same design twice but changed the quotes on the front. I forgot to take a pic of the alternative one. The beautiful tree stamp is a 'cover the page' stamp from Impression Obsession and in this case the quote is one from an Alison Bomber set for PaperArtsy. I love the beautiful quotes Alison has brought to us via these stamps and I can't wait for February when she has some new sets coming out with the new PaperArtsy releases. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCftBu6eKhvD_YBqVRzJzEzic78z6wMoEi96cfoCJ72nL7EdSIclql1ghxIrFXGRkmQMH0N7NstIr71rsdqN8RzmuuywASB3lmmOY1sOqrCjs5eigMIglBSpIGxsplir5V7bgdoFr6p1SX/s1600/First+Birthday+card+design+of+the+year+-+2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="663" data-original-width="750" height="282" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCftBu6eKhvD_YBqVRzJzEzic78z6wMoEi96cfoCJ72nL7EdSIclql1ghxIrFXGRkmQMH0N7NstIr71rsdqN8RzmuuywASB3lmmOY1sOqrCjs5eigMIglBSpIGxsplir5V7bgdoFr6p1SX/s320/First+Birthday+card+design+of+the+year+-+2b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Before stamping the trees I used a dusting brush to add some Distress Ink colour to a piece of script designer paper. I wanted to give the impression of hazy winter sunlight filtering through bare trees. I inked the edges and layered up onto the base card before stamping and cutting up the quote and added it to the top.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now for something I haven't done much of at all....journalling! A friend pointed out that France Papillon was starting a new challenge on her blog, <a href="https://www.france-papillon.com/single-post/2018/01/06/A-layer-a-day---A-spread-a-week-week-2">A Layer A Day/A Spread A Week </a>(ALAD/ASAW) so a couple of us decided to have a go. If you want to know the details have a look at France's blog but I have to say I found it extremely difficult to only do one layer then walk away till the next day. Once I get in a crafting mood I want to keep at it whilst it's flowing but I'll give it another go this week hopefully and see how I get on. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQulybmIypgXqZbzHN6DapW0u4B5e8XUyz5tpjiPbSIqmA4-Cln0HCGS3YNR1tpPTFFHHQSTNMWP-ScWIsRYBedehkbqion0T1waQO7JYb_DfV670iQGeGY_F8wYRSooFo0AEYp-_3Rfz6/s1600/France+Papillon+ALAD-ASAW+1st+pages+-+4b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="596" data-original-width="750" height="254" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQulybmIypgXqZbzHN6DapW0u4B5e8XUyz5tpjiPbSIqmA4-Cln0HCGS3YNR1tpPTFFHHQSTNMWP-ScWIsRYBedehkbqion0T1waQO7JYb_DfV670iQGeGY_F8wYRSooFo0AEYp-_3Rfz6/s320/France+Papillon+ALAD-ASAW+1st+pages+-+4b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I did take about three pics with my phone of the different layers but for some reason I couldn't get them to download this morning 😞 . I started off with a couple of pages I had already stamped a rose onto with two colours of Distress Oxides, left over ink from a previous project. Over that I randomly stamped a fab script stamp I bought recently by ALL&Create (from That's Crafty) then I gave it a patchy wash with gesso.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOSqKTFA2IIwTnBnFs5VNPLD2bg-PgyKp-P7Rlj1lcAR0JPIjkbuztFb7Iovpo64lcdo5uKljrGwMlZc3-uQMvhl5nRebm5ljecOEHzKvmuyiFg4JRIODSkrukN2oIYL1AsygTMTvtV2SE/s1600/France+Papillon+ALAD-ASAW+1st+pages+-+6b.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOSqKTFA2IIwTnBnFs5VNPLD2bg-PgyKp-P7Rlj1lcAR0JPIjkbuztFb7Iovpo64lcdo5uKljrGwMlZc3-uQMvhl5nRebm5ljecOEHzKvmuyiFg4JRIODSkrukN2oIYL1AsygTMTvtV2SE/s320/France+Papillon+ALAD-ASAW+1st+pages+-+6b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next came Grunge Paste through an Imagination Crafts mixed media stencil. Love this stencil as it has different shaped 'holes' making a random design. Next layer was PaperArtsy Infusions which I allowed to run and drip plus an old Crafty Notions white spray and some shimmery Glimmer Mists. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLhWkesgSTBirfeXQdJkUcRDvTWnMryh43f7gTVM0ofxRZeNFxjT-gAnkZGS9GNHb0llv2vgU2yikSD8xunr40Io05Oo5eYECTrPLl7Kk4K838cTgTt1dP1D7b7QRjvv_GytvX0HLe17fr/s1600/France+Papillon+ALAD-ASAW+1st+pages+-+5b.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLhWkesgSTBirfeXQdJkUcRDvTWnMryh43f7gTVM0ofxRZeNFxjT-gAnkZGS9GNHb0llv2vgU2yikSD8xunr40Io05Oo5eYECTrPLl7Kk4K838cTgTt1dP1D7b7QRjvv_GytvX0HLe17fr/s320/France+Papillon+ALAD-ASAW+1st+pages+-+5b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
A couple of words from a Seth Apter stencil and stickers, a few touches of Treasure Gold and a light application of black ink to the edges finished the actual pages then I stamped a Tim Holtz butterfly twice onto a scrap of brusho'd card, cut them out and stuck them to the pages.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Right that's it for today! Hope it's not too long before I have something else to share. Thanks for dropping by today.</div>

<br />
No new year resolutions here but I do hope to be a slightly more consistent blogger in 2018 but we'll see if I stick to that, lol! Anyway, before I blog a bit of new 'art' in my second post of the day I wanted to share pics of the Christmas cards I made for 2017 as I like to have them recorded here.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0A9T1MRgPTVR87NaP-sVZspmoq27YQLlXw-BhvD97LPqAjFBrrAHdQttVL4oijVITgJThe68xF-IoU8IpUf-7qumEPAxg-5N7_LnJqC1iUzUHyM_nSjx83uULMkIzhYJ31crXw1nu76eE/s1600/Star+Theme+Christmas+Cards+-+3b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="645" data-original-width="750" height="275" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0A9T1MRgPTVR87NaP-sVZspmoq27YQLlXw-BhvD97LPqAjFBrrAHdQttVL4oijVITgJThe68xF-IoU8IpUf-7qumEPAxg-5N7_LnJqC1iUzUHyM_nSjx83uULMkIzhYJ31crXw1nu76eE/s320/Star+Theme+Christmas+Cards+-+3b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This first selection were made from backgrounds I'd made ages ago from which I diecut the starts and then stamped and embossed the snowflakes. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Still on a star theme but this card was a one off with Chocolate Baroque snowflakes stamped and embossed onto a script paper background and the edges heat embossed too then the stars again diecut from a previously made background.</div>

A few months before Christmas I bought two gorgeous Penny Black Christmas design stamps from lovely Val, the very talented owner of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/snazzystampingandscrapbooking/">Snazzy's</a> whose design team I used to be a member of. I absolutely adore these stamps and the batch above are using the poinsettia stamp. I inked the stamp up using different shades of Distress Inks and dragged the colours out with a water brush, added a little stickles to the centres and then stamped and embossed the sentiments.</div>

This next batch use the other PB stamp, berries and bell. Again I inked up with Distress Inks and am so pleased with the effect I got after dragging the colours out with a water brush.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
I have decided that as we don't have so many Christmas cards to exchange these days, sadly as we get older there are friends and loved ones nolonger with us and of course, no work colleagues now we have been retired for several years so this year I am hoping to make all the cards I need, not just the ones for crafting friends. Wish me luck, lol!</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Okey Dokey, now for the new stuff........I'll be back shortly!</div>

<br />
It's a late post from me tonight....I fell asleep after tea and slept for far too long so will probably be in my craftroom till the early hours of tomorrow again, oops!<br />
<br />
The mistress of all things layered and vintagey, the very talented <a href="https://lynnesbowsandbelles.wordpress.com/">Lynne Moncrieff</a>, shared a wonderful creation <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2017/11/2017-18-torn-ripped-burnt-torn-memories.html">HERE</a> on the PaperArtsy Blog a few nights ago. I am not very good at multiple layering especially in a seemingly random fashion. I have this compulsion to make everything neat and it drives me bonkers, lol! However, Lynne's beautiful project made me want to at least try something with a nod to her lovely style although she didn't actually do any burning for her piece. As usual, I still need Christmas cards so that's what I created.<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The guest bloggers are into the second week of inspiration for the current theme of 'torn, ripped and burnt' and this time my card has all three.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMbtBCsaHVl1vK0supyaZfvq3t2QESxC1onad9MLBWf0zZEB1m6lF5byIxg9fbE0YPCJCaLKwvgSuhrKW__r-N227kF2zdw_ZjNaIC8klVmoIM20eKyV3LM-G0QH9O1GA6IegHwfqcSVom/s1600/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+7b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMbtBCsaHVl1vK0supyaZfvq3t2QESxC1onad9MLBWf0zZEB1m6lF5byIxg9fbE0YPCJCaLKwvgSuhrKW__r-N227kF2zdw_ZjNaIC8klVmoIM20eKyV3LM-G0QH9O1GA6IegHwfqcSVom/s320/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+7b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found a piece of fabric to tear, along with a piece of mesh ribbon to co-ordinate with the beautiful designer papers that have been forgotten and unloved in my stash for years. Both the musical background (We Wish You a Merry Christmas) and the stamped piece are originally from the same pad (can't remember who's) and they have beautiful embossing on with fine rainbow glitter.... absolutely stunning! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOojSlSd7BTSs3D6JfFn_IfVmxqm05IQaJFJmBSgK4kCzZMzUUvcPgobpswfIKq35HJAhCVyqggWAdq2FCtLwdLxZC28J9kpD4yLI9wfz1xDuCbtxqa9NEc1H5HPWxSXqXTvTlrTtgL6if/s1600/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+8b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOojSlSd7BTSs3D6JfFn_IfVmxqm05IQaJFJmBSgK4kCzZMzUUvcPgobpswfIKq35HJAhCVyqggWAdq2FCtLwdLxZC28J9kpD4yLI9wfz1xDuCbtxqa9NEc1H5HPWxSXqXTvTlrTtgL6if/s320/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+8b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a Prima distressing tool on the edges of the main background piece and then inked them. I also stamped some small stars from a PaperArtsy Lin Brown stamp set using a Memories white pigment ink and then embossed with clear ep. It's really translucent though so I doubt you can see it on the pics. I stuck this piece to the card blank with double sided tape. I also stamped my favourite PaperArtsy bells using an Archival Ink onto the piece of co-ordinating designer paper.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI1gHOxH616yuU4_F4nF8xx4c1bN5ZRAR3yXRvtESA7ax3b4xieDVNv1L3sGYQqkPh_OjS7QMFIUpoD_7brx0SdU2kvMvx96Z1-ikz11AQo8nt1lhHwKXKCMZ4Q8cuZ-iu_LEIG1i2aVzF/s1600/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+9b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI1gHOxH616yuU4_F4nF8xx4c1bN5ZRAR3yXRvtESA7ax3b4xieDVNv1L3sGYQqkPh_OjS7QMFIUpoD_7brx0SdU2kvMvx96Z1-ikz11AQo8nt1lhHwKXKCMZ4Q8cuZ-iu_LEIG1i2aVzF/s320/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+9b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next I had great fun holding the layers to a candle flame, very carefully,
to get all the burnt edges. I did have to be extremely careful
actually because both the fabric and the mesh ribbon proved to be highly
flammable but the effect is great. I added all the layers to the card using a hot glue gun. I am useless with this contraption and waste more glue than I use, lol!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEievXJw8ViaBawnoNlWGExHD2swxics5Yb6RlwRq0WR9O9nQB0GKnzCdLC9s5pBTLY39V-0GX3fOWTdmuWAP60YNMat95tf42mOGcdBo7CIbEqL1PEeLAOOQIc7SZIM66vl5W2itm0nGKZB/s1600/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+10b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="562" data-original-width="750" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEievXJw8ViaBawnoNlWGExHD2swxics5Yb6RlwRq0WR9O9nQB0GKnzCdLC9s5pBTLY39V-0GX3fOWTdmuWAP60YNMat95tf42mOGcdBo7CIbEqL1PEeLAOOQIc7SZIM66vl5W2itm0nGKZB/s320/PaperArtsy+Blog+Challenge+-+Torn%252C+ripped+and+burnt+-+10b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I inked a piece of Scrapiniec chipboard with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide and removed some of it by spritzing with water. I love the effect this had and I used the glue gun again to add this piece and the little stars to the card. The final touch was to stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Righty Ho! I'm off to do the link up thing. Do drop by the <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2017/11/2017-topic-18-tornripped-and-burnt.html">PaperArtsy blog</a> if you get chance for as usual, they are sharing some awesome projects for this topic. Sleep tight everyone!</div>
