I have a couple of cards to share with you today (there would have been two more but I forgot to take pics ;D).
This first one was for my OH who shares his birthday with Queen Elizabeth II ...... perhaps I should have made her a card as well, lol! I took inspiration from a card I found on Pinterest here but as usual tweaked it a bit. I think OH was very pleased not to receive a card from me that wasn't shades of brown, lol!
The stamps I used are from Inkylicious and I worked directly onto linen look card to get the texture.
My second card is one of those all crafters wish they didn't need to make and doubly so in this case as it was for a relatively young person who died from pancreatic cancer. He's left behind 2 boys from his first marriage and a little girl who isn't 2 yrs old yet and her Mum.....so sad!
I inked and stamped three squares of card, stuck them to the base card and stuck the poppy die cut ovr the top.
A few more pics of our neglected garden's little treasures.
Beautiful Helibores
Delicate Pieris Japonica
Lovely waxy Hyacinth
See you again soon!
Hugs
Lesley Xx

Both cards are beautiful, the sympathy cards are always so hard to get right, but I feel you have with that - never thought of using that die on them though, it works so well. Your birthday card for your OH is just gorgeous!!
Two lovely cards. Sometimes difficult to get the balance just right for sympathy cards but this one is really good. An interesting way of using a floral die cut (one to remember!)
Two beautiful card Lesley. I love the top one, its such a wonderful scene. The second look just right for a sympathy card, the poppy die look beautiful.

Two beautiful cards, so much dimension in the first and such simply expressed sympathy in the second which I think really hits the spot x
Two gorgeous cards Lesley. I love the first, such a lovely layout with the tapering inked panel, it gives it a great focus. I am not surprised your OH liked it! The second card is perfect. As you say sympathy cards are so hard to get right, but these seems perfect for such a sad situation. I need to make a sympathy card this week, I think I may actually take inspiration from your first design. Lovely work my lovely friend. Elaine xxx
Also meant to say what fabulous hellebores, I expect you had to get really low down to take this pic though as they tend to hide their lovely faces don't they?

Two beautiful cards Lesley, glad your OH loved his purple one and your sympathy card is just perfect :-) xxx
Perfect cards....how sad. Ruth x
Hi Lesley, so happy to find the time to read you at last, and to discover these two gorgeous cards in complement to mine...
Your second card is absolutely perfect for the circumstance, full of delicatessen, this is so sad indeed. Thanks for showing it anyway as we need sometimes to do such cards, and also for sharing the photos of your garden, it looks very beautiful! Hugs from France, Coco xxx
