Aaargh!!! ..........Where has the last month gone?!@!

Hello Everyone,

Er, long time - no see, so to speak!  I am really sorry it's been so long since my last post but unfortunately, many things have contributed to this situation, none of them nasty but just family commitments getting in the way a bit plus the only things I seem to have had time to create have had to be kept under wraps for a while.

Anyway, I now have some of my makes for the Elusive Images DT that I can share with you so hopefully I'll be able to post them over the next week or so.

Amongst my lovely DT goodies for November were some of the Crafty Individuals chipboard shapes so I decided to make this Christmassy tag.  The little fence which was one of the shapes was attached with a folded piece of card which formed a 'hinge' and this enables the tag to be freestanding.  I covered the tree shape with Artylicious paper from the Seasons Greetings cd  and used various stamps from the Elusive Images Christmas range to stamp the embossed resist background, the leaping reindeer and the sentiment.

This next creation was made to showcase a newly released set of Elusive Images stamps called Earth Spirit, designed by the lovely Carrie who is a talented member of the Graphicus team.  I stamped the woodnymph image onto metal using Stazon and then after embossing it I used alcohol inks on cotton buds to colour it.  I also used a tree image from the Essence of Nature stamp plate to stamp on the corners of the background paper (another Artylicious paper from the Simple Elegance pack).  The leaves were cut with a Shapeability die and touched with Perfect Pearls mica powders.

If you want more details of any of the Elusive Images stamps, etc., click on the DT logo in my sidebar.

In my absence, I hope all you lovely people have been keeping well and doing lots of crafting.  I've been trying to keep up with the wonderful blogs I follow but have been a bit lax on that side too.  I will try harder because I hate missing any of the lovely inspiration my blogging friends create.  However, I do know once this blasted white stuff disappears I will be dashing up and down the A1 again!  I hope the travelling situation is much improved for the end of next week as I have to go to look after my granddaughter in Harrogate on Friday and a lovely workshop with Glenda at Graphicus on Saturday.  I will be soooooo disappointed if I have to miss either of those days.

For today I'll leave you with a couple of photos of my back garden (yard to my American visitors) taken at 8 am today.

and this is poor little Snoopy wondering where on earth he can go for his morning toilet as the snow is deeper than he is tall.

I've since dug him a 'ditch' from the back door out onto the garden but he's still not quite sure what he's supposed to do poor thing, Lol!

I'll hopefully be back with some more shares over the weekend.  In the meantime, take care in this atrocious weather everyone and try to stay warm and snuggly.

Lots of warm hugs
Lesley  Xx

PS  If you haven't already noticed I managed to finish and post my project for this month for the Craft Stamping Quartet for which the inspiration was an article by Joanne Wardle (October issue) and my buddies shouldn't be too far behind.  Here's a taster but if you want a closer look the link is in my sidebar.

Lesley, your work is really lovely. I was ooing and arhing as I unpacked your samples, each one a little treasure. We are so lucky having such a tallented Design Team.
Poor Snoopy, he looks like a little lost sole in amoungst the mounds of snow. It sure is deep and his little legs sure are short, he could do with some platform soles!
I do hope that you are going to put some photos on your blog this year of all your Christmas decorating? I remember you doing it a couple of years back and it was so beautifully. I love to see what people do with their Xmas decos and I think you are as smitten as I am when it comes to celebrating the festive season.

Keep warm and stay safe on the roads. Hope to see you soon.

Hugs,
Lynn x

Some beautiful work and great to see you back - so pleased it was nothing too unpleasant that was keeping you away. That sort of thing happens from time to time with families and can't be helped. Poor little Snoopy searching for his toilet in that deep snow!!

Lesley, that tag is gorgeous - can see the 'Lynn effect' is working well! Love what you have done with Carrie's stamp too - bought that set, but it hasn't even got as far as the kling-on yet.........
Can't compain about the lack of blogging, as have been as bad myself lately - take care in all that snow, you have so much more of it than we do.

These are two of my favourites of your offerings Lesley. The metal piece that you made with Carrie's stamp is just aewsome, and I love your reindeer tag. The colours are lovely, and the fence is inspired. Poor Snoopy, he does look confused! I hope the snow thaws for him soon, Judith xx

Beautiful examples of your work Lesley. As always.
Our garden looks a bit like yours from overnight snow, and the cats are just sitting in the window mesmerised as once again it has started falling.
Take care - keep warm

It's so lovely to see you again, Lesley and your gorgeous creations. I adore the Christmas tag, what a beautiful deer and the picket gate is inspired!!
I see you've got plenty of the white stuff too, how early is this weather this year. I hope it's much improved for your trip up to Harrogate, you'll be nearly passing my front door. One of these days we'll have to meet up when you come up this way!!
Have a lovely weekend and stay warm
hugs Lisax

Hi Lesley

Never mind where has last month gone .. .. where did the last year go?!?!?

I suppose it is a case of "time flies when you are having fun!!". LOL!!

Loving your creations as always. You do such amazing work.

Your tag is gorgeous and I love the finishing touch of the little fence. Great idea.

Then your woodnymph .. .. well what can I say. Simply stunning.

I hope you are being careful and staying safe amongst all this "white stuff".

I look forward to seeing all of your other creations soon.

Hope you get to spend time with your Grand-daughter and make it to your "crafty fix".

Take care.

Love Jules xx

Your tag is fabulous and the little fence is a brilliant touch.
The card is fantastic. The wood nymph looks so dimensional - a great piece of work.

I am so glad that you are just busy and nothing difficult has been keeping you away. LOVE that fence on your tag. Such a clever idea. Beautiful tag. The card is fantastic. Saw it pop up on your DT blog and had to go peek at it and then come over here and peruse in detail. Beautiful!
