Another Arched Aperture Card

I made this card recently for a friend who was in need of a little support. It was quite simple to do by blending Distress Inks to create a little sunset scene with Elusive Images stamps. The colours I used were suggested by a photo I took of a sunset (over the sea rather than land) when my OH and I were on a cruise a few years ago. I've tried to find it again amongst the several hundred we took over that two weeks, Lol, but so far without success. If I do manage to find it I'll edit this post and add it.

I love these arched aperture cards and I think I'm going to be quite reluctant to use the last one when I get to it as I've been unable to find any more.

I just wanted to remind you that it was my turn to post my art doll project today, over on my shared blog. I'd love it if you have time to pop over there for a quick look. Elaine posted her lovely lady a couple of days ago and Judith and Jo will follow with theirs over the next few days.

Thanks for being kind enough to visit.

Hugs
Lesley Xx

Lesley, this card is lovely. I was about to ask where you got the die from and then realized you had bought the blanks. All the cards you have made with this shape are super.

Hi Lesley

Oh this is just so gorgeous.

I love your use of an arched aperture - not something I would have ever thought of.

Here is a link to where I buy my cardstock from and I see that they do an arched aperture but it has a rounded top. Would these be any good for you .. .. .. for when your last one has been used :-(

Hi Lesely

Awesome blending giving a superb finished piece of artwork.

So you have a cricut or know someone with one ? Several of the cartridges have arch shapes and using the DS it's very easy to create aperture cards.

Beautiful card Lesley, super colouring!
Like Jules, suggest trying craft creations - i still have some arched cards from there about 2 years ago - will have to think about using them, but they are dark colours which went with the quilling I was doing then

You have become the queen of the arch! This is such a beauty and such a useful card too. I love the way you've used the grasses inside and outside the frame. Very clever.
